Default PayPal/EBay Problems

GreenBean asked me to post my problem here and I'll be able to be more specific here.

We have 4 Paypal accounts... any time one was limited we'd just open another. 3 accounts were limited on the same day and account number 1 was limited three months earlier because of a charge back on ebay fees. Account 1 was recently restored when we entered a new password and gave credit card info. So account 1 is good.

Account 2 and 3 are experencing the same problems, they are limited with no checklist.

Just received this email titled ATARAL on account 2: Dear Freedom,

Thank you for inquiring as to how to restore access to your account.

PayPal is constantly working to ensure security by regularly screening
the accounts in our system. We recently reviewed your account and need
more information to help us provide you with secure service. Until we
can collect this information, your access to sensitive account features
will be limited.

To return your account to regular standing, please complete the
checklist items indicated when you login to your account and click on
the link provided on the "Account Overview" page.

The link will appear as: "Your account access is limited: Click here for
Details."

Once you complete all of the checklist items, our Account Review team
will review your case and send you an email with the outcome of the
review. Cases are reviewed in the order they are received.

We regret any inconvenience, and we would like to restore your access as
soon as possible.

Please do not respond to this email, as responses to this message will
not be answered.

Sincerely,

PayPal Account Review Team

Form Message
customer subject: My account has been limited for # weeks and there are
no steps to unlimit the account???
customer message: Additional Information: 'It's limited but there's no
steps to unlimit it.'

So, we waited two days for an answer and it looks like they didn't read our question.

Account 4 was limited for supplier info... after sending invoices I called and the rep said, "I'm denying this." I kept saying, "I don't understand" She transfered me to a guy that didn't know what the hell was going on. So after talking to him I hung up and checked my email.

EBay listings were pulled and our EBay accounts were blocked.

When logging into EBay it says we violated their policies and we can appeal. We can call to appeal, well calling leads to worse problems apparently... so I didn't do that.

EBay live help didn't help told me to email T&S

"Rest assured that the Trust and Safety Team would be able to further check into this since they have the tools for this. Nothing to worry about."

Tools?

I am waiting for T&S to contact me now so the broken policy is revealed.

Words like ⊗⊗⊗⊗ appear in my feedback and there is the charge back on fees on this ebay account. I'm working on restoring it so my wife can do her thrift flipping. It looks like the authentics from china weren't so authentic... I don't want legal problems and don't want to sell ⊗⊗⊗⊗, but I'm still not sure what's going on with the paypal/ebay code of secrets... I'm so glad real banks don't work this way I'd have to dig holes to bury my money in or hire a translator to deal with this nonsense.

MY GOD!!!

EBay message arrived

Dear freedom,

Thank you for writing eBay in regard to the suspension of your account.

As we explained in our previous email to you, your eBay account has been
restricted because there are unresolved issue with your PayPal account.
We will not be able to move forward with the reinstatement process until
this issue has been resolved. Please contact PayPal directly to work
things out. Once that's taken care of, we'll be happy to lift your
suspension.

Here's how to contact PayPal:

1. Go to PayPal (www.paypal.com) and log in.
2. Click "Resolution Center" at the top of the page.
3. Click the "Resolve" button under the "Action" column for the issue
you want to fix.

You can also reach PayPal by phone at 1-402-935-2050. Here are their
hours:

4:00 AM PDT to 10:00 PM PDT Monday through Friday
6:00 AM PDT to 8:00 PM PDT Saturday and Sunday

The agent will need to verify the telephone number on your account and
the last 4 digits of your credit card or bank account. You may want to
have that information handy when you call.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Kroeger
eBay Customer Support

So, looks like a charge back of 40 USD cost me a month of sales.

The only thing you can do is keep bothering PayPal about lifting your limited account, until you get that squared away eBay won't do anything about lifting your limitation with them.

But to tell you the truth, once you're hit with the 180 hold... there's not much you can do about it.. not many people get passed it.

One last thing, how you are accessing your accounts? The only way three accounts go down at once is if they were linked.. so something you did linked them.

paypal restored the account and ebay is waiting for paypal to restore the account. They don't seem very organized. When a paypal transaction is refunded couldn't ebay automatically grant you a fvf? I'm asking because that would make sense and the stuff I'm dealing with doesn't make any sense. I forwarded the paypal restored email to ebay.

They are linked because I didn't come across this site until it was too late. I will not sell much through these accounts once restored, not worth the hassle to run 10-30k through these... interestingly though, shipping was more than profit on my items so I was doing something wrong and that's a whole other question. It's nice having authentic accounts even if you don't intend to use them much.

Here's a message from ebay... all accounts I'm discussing here are linked. This one doesn't look so good. This is ebay account 2 and it is linked to paypal accounts 2,3, and 4... ebay account 1 is still blocked and it is tied to paypal accounts 1-4, so the two ebay accounts are cross contaminated?

Dear Freedom,

As part of our commitment to offering a safe transaction network for all
of our valued members, we regularly screen account activity. During one
of these screenings, we reviewed your account and determined that the
activity associated to your eBay or PayPal accounts poses an inherent
risk to the overall security of our network. Unfortunately, due to this
risk, we have determined that we are no longer able to offer the use of
our services to you.

Although you are no longer able to utilize PayPal services, you may
still log into your PayPal account to review the information associated
to your use of our services for a limited time.

In accordance with PayPal’s User Agreement, the balance of your PayPal
account will be held for 180 days to protect PayPal against the risk of
reversal stemming from buyer claims, chargebacks, or other reversal
rights that may have been assigned to a consumer outside of PayPal and
eBay’s policies. After the180-day period has passed, any remaining
funds will be available to you for withdrawal, less any additional
amounts owed to PayPal or eBay.

Additionally, eBay will charge any amounts you have not previously
disputed to the billing method currently on file and you will be
credited for any listings that were ended.

While we regret having to make this decision, please understand that the
decision was based on criteria set forth in the User Agreements for both
PayPal and eBay. You can view our User Agreements in their entirety by
using links located at the footer of each of our websites.

Please do not reply to this email, as this mailbox is not monitored and
you will not receive a response. If you seek further clarification
regarding your account access, please contact PayPal by visiting the
Help Center and clicking "Contact Us.”

We thank you for your prompt attention and cooperation with this matter.

Sincerely,

Account Review Department

I think they don't openly accuse a person of something due to possible legal action??? Vagueness is bliss.

Dear Freedom,

Thank you for writing eBay in regard to the suspension of your account.

As a courtesy to you, I have reviewed your suspension once more but
concluded that your account will not be reinstated.

If you choose to send future requests for reinstatement, unless we
receive additional information pertaining to your suspension, we may not
be able to respond.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
Cullan

If this happen in real life wouldn't you go Pat Morita on his ass. It's like playground bully stuff... I'm throwing out some expletives that I'll spare you from but my lord.

EBay needs to be drug out in the street and abused. I honestly don't think I can bring my self to using them ever again... that logo and their arrogance. I'm going to bed... EBay Sucks and I hope somebody comes along and drops em like circuit city. You might be reading about me in the papers... or on your screen.

I'm done venting and I'm through being nice.

They won't tell me but can I assume this is for selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗? I don't know if I did and I'd like to know if I did because if I did I don't want to do it again. If I did am I at risk... should I turn myself in.

That's what it looks like based on what you posted earlier. You aren't in any trouble though, no worries though.

It's a felony... I'm embarrased because I have a poli-sci degree. My wife thinks I'm super intelligent and I keep finding ways to prove her wrong. Lol

Don't buy trademark goods from china... is that the lesson here?

Well, yeah I mean if you sale a lot of ⊗⊗⊗⊗ you'll get in trouble, I don't recommend selling them but there are people that make a killing doing it, spreading out sales over many accounts without a lot of issues other then a limited eBay account. It depends what you sell too, and how active the VeRO is... but still I don't recommend stuff like that for long term or at all.

It doesn't seem wise... I can't find the link now, but 10 yrs and 2 mill in fines for 104k sales over 2 years is silly. It's certainly not worth the $2 profit I was making... my suppliers prices were high so I thought they were as they stated authentic. Oh, well... back to the beginning.

Don't people feel bad screwing others over by selling them ⊗⊗⊗⊗ merch?

Screwing eBay or PayPal is one thing, but I'm not looking to take advantage of another person.

the guy I purchased from is still up on ebay and if he sold me 200 ⊗⊗⊗⊗ what is he selling? I got a lot of "it's ⊗⊗⊗⊗ but I like it"... it wasn't worth the aggravation. My rule is no trademark items from china. I almost bought vero items before I knew what vero was... I'm very new to buying wholesale and I wish I had the knowledge I now do.

I can see how someone can make a killing, but I have a family and it's not worth it to me. My attention is going to be focused on finding quality suppliers... I know they are out there.
