Default Have you noticed new listings go high up the page

Iv just noticed new listing are being sent quite high I thought they usaly take a few days to slowly creep up

Theyv gon higher than my older listings in the first hour on a diiffernt account

So is it better to just make new lisitngs all the time

And im not even a top seller

If its a new account, just selling bits and bobs from around the home, then the listings is likely to be on the first page. This is eBay's way of giving new sellers a chance, rather than having their listings drowned by existing reputable sellers.

Similarly if you have a really good listing, and you manage to keep it around the top 3 position, then relisting will ensure it stays around there. Opening a new listing will most likely cause it to drop.

So to answer your question, it depends on the situation...

Thers alot to listing than i thought Its not a new accounts its about 8 months old but iv not used it for about 4 months

There is a process eBay give to building accounts when they have been selling for periods of time. Its a pattern, and you could be in the 'six month' boost range, but new listings do always get a bit of bump, dependant on age of account.

Lots of factors in this that you will learn over time from selling successfully.
