Default Im worried about a puchase I made

I was buying a shipping service online, to ship something out. On the shipping website it ask for your address to where they can collect the parcel. Of course I put my real address in there, then I logged into my stealth PP account to pay, But when I looked on paypal at my ''summary'' I see that my real address is there for where I want the item to be SHIPPED (Send to address). I was banned from PP about 10 years ago with the same address. But this time has my stealth name attached, not real name. Do you think this would be a hard link? or a soft link? I really wish now I didnt use that website, it was the first time I used it.

10 years is a long time and it probably saved you

This can link an account if other factors besides address match. It doesn't sound like other factors match. I feel you should be okay.

Your address is now "soft" linked to your account, so PayPal is now aware of it.. will that hurt you? In your case, probably not.

The same thing happened to me many times unfortunately (only once or twice I was linked). Eventually I learned to be extra careful when paying through PayPal via random websites.

You should be fine OP

Where possible, I strongly recommend users to setup separate buying and selling accounts. I do this myself. I have a eBay and PayPal account setup, using my own details, which I solely use for buying/paying for stuff. Seller accounts, solely for selling. It avoids hiccups like this from happening.

P.S. Now PayPal adds these addresses to your account. In the past, they did the same thing, but you couldn't see it from your side. So you would never have known they were logging such details (I can't speak for US PP, but it was the case here in the UK). Again another reason to be very cautious.
