I've been receiving parcels for 12 years, but haven't had a parcel held for so long by uk customs via DHL. DHL said it's just a regular check. The items are not vero and had no problems before. Anyone else had experience timewise it taken to clear pulled parcels recently. I did have a parcel that took 2 months to clear one time, but it had been checked by German customs in Leipzig. I'm not sure the lengthy check is normal or because of customs delayed caused by Brexit.
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!
It’s usually quick with UK customs but in some cases the goods are forwarded on to trading standards which can take longer was the shipment seized in East Middlands or Heathrow?
Vero is just an eBay term. Never sure what it means when people say their items are non Vero.
If its being held for inspection by customs then
Either the items are generic in which case it will be fine
They are unbranded copies - grey area
They are outright copies - they will get taken and you will get a letter
Another possibility is undervaluation of the items value - that can apply to all 3 of the above
They're definitely not copies, They're just overstock and/or slight seconds, I only ever worry about the brand I'm selling trying to stop me selling it, but it's on the open market. I've sold 10,000s of items OK. It's just the amount of delay that is hurting. The same way people are worried about Brexit causing customs' delays hurting their business.
Sigh yes, I have been selling them for 12 years. They have been checked by customs before, and they are a small niche label that nobody would bother counterfeiting. WHy would counterfeiters remove labels and tags? Ones I've seen have lables and tags attached.
From a business perspective it doesn’t makes much sense for a small niche company to overproduce and then sell off the overproduction at a cheaper rate for someone else to undercut them?
So long as they are genuine all the genuine paperwork is there then I don’t think you have a problem passing customs
The stock is limited but there are several styles to obtain from. It is the company's fault for this overproduction by firing their indigenous workers and using Chinese sweatshops to lower their overheads. That's on top of the money they save from aggressive tax avoidance of course
My parcels has been released, so to answer my own question it took over 3 weeks, they wanted proof of purchase, the valuation the sender puts isn't that far out, as I'm VAT registerd I can claim the VAT they charge back, so there's no reasonfor me to undervalue. Customs were a lot stricter though asking for breakdowns and weight of the parcel not just an invoice as usial. So they might be clamping down
If customs has your package, you have a %0 chance of EVER receiving your package.
If you ordered Morning Glory or some weird legal high into Canada, you're fricked.
The old ladies at customs make sure Canadians can't make legally-doo.
Buying off Ebay is like just gambling, sometimes you win sometimes you lose, and this time you're probably going to jail for buying something that can get you high
