Has ebay had an update recently?
ive created 15 accounts today trying to narrow out whats causing this.
but ive used 10 different ips, verified with card, real cards, vcc, banks, and paypal accounts...
real and ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address's
all different, different pcs, different routers.
no matter what i do...
i get this when i try to list an item on a new created account
In order to keep eBay a safe and trustworthy environment, we regularly review marketplace activity. As part of our review, we've temporarily placed a selling hold on your account. This hold will prevent you from listing new items.
To remove the hold on your account, please contact a member of our customer service agents who will happy to assist.
We appreciate your cooperation in confirming your information as soon as possible and welcome you as a valued member.

When you say banned right away do you mean as soon as you create the account or as soon as you try to make a listing?
What card/VCC's are you using?

It's been pretty standard for a long time now that they ask you to contact them when listing your first item on some accounts.
At one point it was happening to around 50% of accounts, then it kind of stopped except on a small %. It seems to be happening much more again recently.

When you do list your first item after several days of creating your new account, make sure the first item you sell on it is low, generic value, and completely and utterly unrelated to anything you sold in a previously banned account.

The strange thing is, ive never had a problem before.
I was always allowed to list right away, and never an issue.
I will make a few more today and leave it 2 weeks as stated above and try it that way.
Thanks everyone for your information.

Call into Ebay. Act a bit stupid that you don't know what's going on. Chances are they will ask a few basic questions and the vast majority of those accounts will be restored.

Ebayorbust is correct. Just contact them to get them restored.
They may ask for documents which is happening more often, but still pretty rare overall.

oh, sorry i wasnt clear, thats the easy part.
I can always get the accounts back, i know exactly what to say, but the issue was the initial ban. Usually i get restricted when i list the item and after 24 hours, just not when im creating the drafts.
They do ask for docs your right, id say 1 in 50 accounts, but i just kill the account, for what its worth.
But i spoke to someone this morning while getting another account back, she let something slip. she explained to me that ebay has something in place now that if the acount is setup in a particular order, they recognize it as a bot. She told me to create the account, wait a few hours before confirming the telephone number, then a few more hours before logging in and some more hours before browsing and listing anything.
very good advice which ill be trying.

A new user is sloppy. They will forget to do things right away.

It's always a good idea to create a few ebay accounts , and leave them idle, just in case you rmain account does go tits up. Just occasionaly list something on the idle accountafter a few weeks, using a diifferent paypal, and search for a few bargains. Then it saves all the hassle of waiting 2 weeks at a later date.
