We all will be stuck if they require photo id aswell. Which they prob wouid. No way around that. You’d have to use your real name & change all your accounts to your real name

Yes, but then we will only be allowed to have one account only if using real name and real photo ID?

All the other multiple stealth accounts under stealth names would go under the drain.

Depends if your name is banned. You can have multiple eBay’s that’s allowed but it’s the risk if they link them all. If you have same name on all accounts but diff addresses diff numbers etc is that enough to link all accounts !?

Ahh, I see what you mean, comrade. That's an interesting point which needs to be explored further...

Yes coz ebsy onky after passport I’d prob abd bank account them names must match. But there must be a 1000 dave Jones. They’ll need more then dave Jones to link all your accounts. But it will be enough for adyan.

I phoned Ayden last year and rep said the bank name much match the eBay account name.

I don’t know if business bank account name to match business name of eBay account to match will be enough

So to be clear on that, is it a system that can detect mis match details right off the bat when you input the details? Or do they want to see documnets to verify the details match?

We don’t know yet what kind of verification adyen wants wether it’s bank statement and or photo id .. they use them to match the eBay name & bank name etc am guessing it will all have to match.

Yes, my wifes got some friends who sell at work, so she is going to pick their brains about it, although I think they may only be low scale personal sellers, o may of not got the email.

Might be worth keeping eye on the eBay Community forums as well, although there does not seem to be a great response to it.

However don't Etsy use Ayden?

Yes and I actually prefer it to paypal.

You can just mindlessly sell and just worry about dispatching your items. The money automatically builds up and then automatically gets deposited to your bank. All in house, one customer services.

Squeaky bum time.

not only that, but its times like this I wish I had my own selling platform. SEO can be expensive though along with other Marketing cost. eBay is easy, you just list, they have done all the Marketing for you. Its also times like this I wish there were another dozen selling platforms just as big as ebay

True, I dont care about MP in ebay. Its the whole linking to your real info that has me concerned. For other non stealth ebay sellers it seems they dont like it that their money will be tied up. For stealth sellers its all about not blowing their cover

That's right. MP is perfect for business sellers. Your average person selling rubbish that isn't a business seller will ufcourse whinge about MP and having their money tied up.

SEO is tough and very time-consuming.

It's like walking a minefield as search engine updates can kill your site at any second.

That's why ebay have "Good till cancelled" listings ...

Same ebay item no. Listing indefinitely remains open until it sells. Perfect for SEO and it saves eBay money in advertising fees.

What about the UK personal account?Only the business account received this notice.

Does this mean that UK personal accounts are not allowed to do business next year if not upgrade to business account?

Or it only affects the business account, the personal accounts can still use paypal?

Does it only affect the UK ebay accounts? If AU or CA ebay accounts doing business on the marketplace in the UK,will it be affected?

I think personal accounts UK will beable to use PP longer than business for sure
However on personal you cannot sell too much.
In Poland ebay was not informed sellers about any changed with receiving payments

OK there is a USA ebayer on here who was invited to trial the Ayden payment scheme last year by chance they had a stealth account, I asked them at the time was was required. I have copied the response below

They are a bank but they are acting as a credit card processor in this capacity. The only thing I had to send them was a copy of my bank statement which was a business account and under a business name anyway which was approved within 3 days

On the bright side for us, eBay has investors to answer to and they only care about the money.

Exactly and they do a credit check to open a business account and my credit went toast when Ebay fuccked me up 3 years ago hence i had to go stealth

And how many business accounts can you get when you have multiple stealth acounts

You'll either need to buy a business with bank and all, or buy an account when people start selling the eBay accounts on MP. I don't see any other way for you if that's the case

So what's the advice for UK stealth accounts? I have an Ebay business account at the moment, but my bank I withdraw to is just a standard account.

There is no current 'advice' as no one knows much...there are some basics though, in my opinion, dont be making or buying new Stealth accounts in names other than similar to your own as this could certainly be a closure once mismatched names come in force.

Any US sellers out there ? do legit sellers still need ****PAL to sell with Ebay when Adyen is implemented?

What a great guess based on 0 facts

Lets wait for a little more information before just start wild guessing.

EBay did say that PayPal can be a payment option and if the buyer wants to use it they can, however managed payments will be the primary option to pay for the order.
