Ebay App what data does it collect, is it safe to use ?

I use eBay for buying, I spend around 50k a year, but had trouble with a bad seller, so I have been banned in the past from my buying account, I prefer the eBay app compared with a mobile browser.

But I am wondering does anyone know if the app takes more user data from the phone? The phone I am currently using, was recently used on the banned account.

I have cleared all the user data via the settings within Android and then removed the app.

Is the app just as safe/risky to use as my mobile browsers on the same phone?

I am using a different ip address etc with the phone compared with the banned account.

The app definitely collects a whole host of information about your phone.

If you absolutely must use the app, you need to root your phone and look into something called xprivacy; it allows you to selectively restrict the information available to individual apps.

I believe it is risky, but I do use it and have been since I started my stealth account last year.

Any idea which extra information, Phone imei number, other phone app usage data.

Other than IP address, login details and cookies?
