Default UK stealth 'ghost address’ buyer returns problem

trying to sort a UK stealth 'ghost address’ been reading here that you can use a house that has been sold, student houses, now what will happen if the buyer wants to return an item or opens up a ppal dispute and they post the item back to the UK stealth 'ghost address’ or if ebay or ppal send any letters to the UK stealth 'ghost address’, wont they figure out that you dont live there!

am i right in saying that the stealth address must not have a person that has used ebay or ppal before, in case you get linked by the address

what can i do for a stealth address?

If you are planning on keeping the account long term the safest option is a PO/Mail box or virtual office type address (loads of these online) but they do come at a price.

Second to that is a family/friend/work address.

And last is the randomly chosen address that you don't have access to.

People move/share houses etc. etc. so it's not vitally important that an address not have been used on Ebay/PP before.

re

cant use friends or family, they use ebay already, so my account would go down if theirs went down or vice versa

do you think i could open up a stealth on the address i am using my present ebay/ppal and kind of change the address about, say instead of 67, write in in words sixty seven and change the last digit of the post code?

i didnt realise ebay/ppal allow you to use mail box or po box or virtual address, can you tell me or pm me the details on these

As long as you don't put PO box it's fine. Usually you get a number to distinguish you so you would, for example, be

Suite/Office 21
32 The Road
etc. etc.

There are loads of services online... just google the subject. I personally haven't used one so am not in a position to recommend one over another.

You can play around with your own address and then send a test letter to yourself to see if gets through. Personally I think this is somewhat risky for a sellers account but it can work so I have read.

Lucy,Lucy,Lucy. Why do you always pay attention to silly things that could get your account into trouble.

You can not have a 'ghost' address period. You need to have an address that you have access to for returns or mail from ebay/paypal. It has to be an address that the wonderful Royal Mail (when not on strike) will deliver items.

if you live in a house you can give it a new name instead of a number, put a plaque up and let your postie know
