Default Uk customs hold my shipment plz help

My shipment went on clearnce delay on 24 august 2010 and today 15th September 2010 I got a letter from Nintendo solicitor saying that they recieved a letter from Custom UK that they found 400 wii remotes in a shipment which belongs to me.

So on behalf of Wii nintendo GmBH EU and Nintendo US inc he wants me to give the permision to UK custom by writting them a letter and saying that they should destroy the goods. If I didn't give them a notice in 5 working days then The solicitor will put a case against me in civil court and they will continue to fight on this metter and my goods will be held until court will announce the final result.

Plz can any one tell me what should I do? should I write to custom? or should I just disapear as they have only my name in there record. So I am moving my house too so can they still goto court and do some thing ??

Or should I do allow them to destroy the goods.

thanks

Replied in another post. Don't try and fight them, they'll destroy them with or without you compliance. Ignore all correspondence.

Just ignore them and they will not contact you after a few days, and you do not need to move your home, there is no need for so big scare for only 400 pcs wii remotes. If it is 40,000 pcs wii remotes, you may think that moving home.

One more thing,do not use this address to import vero goods within 6 months. If you need to import the goods, and you need to get 1 more new address and new receiver name.

Teedon. A small parcel of mine was seized by customs recently. It only contained 2 pairs of boots. Is it ok to use this address still because of it being such a small order?

yes, sometimes you can use the same address, but if you got some another address, you had better to use the new one, just in case.

UK customs have been cracking down a lot this month. You've only got to look for the news stories. They confiscated 4.5million worth of goods in 2 months. If your importing clothing you might get a few parcels through but because of the current political party in power it's doubtful it will get easier any time soon.

My shipment was held on 25th september its already one month I hope they can deliever me too also I read that now custom have no right to destroy the goods brand owner either claim it within 1 month or custom will release it as normal. In my case no one claimed it I hope will get the shipment soon...:>

Yep, U.K. customs are really cracking down on ⊗⊗⊗⊗ goods. It's because of the newly elected government's plan to crackdown on counterfeiting. Every parcel I'm getting (with legit goods) has been checked so far.

True. Every parcel that comes from Honk Kong is checked. And also the customs have a new machine that checks what type of goods thier are. So if they suspect something dodgy, they would open the package.
Why would someone import ????. It's no worth it in the end. You are boud to get caught one way or another. So for few extra and quick money it is not worth to put yourself into this mess which can be hard to get out from.
Deal with only authentic products which would always be peace of mind.

It's the homework you do before you buy it. Okay everyone gets scammed once but that makes it a eye opener for next time. If you know it's phake then you can never get away with it.
