Mobile Broadband - International Roaming

Ok I have a 3 mobile dongle that I am planning to use overseas. It's unlcoked and i'm using PAYG sims that you can get cheap on Ebay.

I can see on the 3 website it costs £1.25 per MB for international roaming in the EU. I'm wondering how much roughly loading a webpage such as Ebay's homepage would eat up? I'm thinking a bit because there is quite a lot of graphics etc.

Also is there anyway to get pages to load in low resolution, like when you log into Gmail sometimes on a slow connection, and it detects this and asks you if you want to load low res instead.

I will be using Auctiva most of the time overseas, will just be logging in to Ebay and PP to answer questions, transfer money etc

Roaming cost a packet
you might be better off trying to get a pay as you go from that country.

The problem with that is the IP address would also be from that country.

Depending on how much I actually use it, it could work out OK. 3 also have a cap on usage so there wont be any nasty surprises
