I wasn't planning on going through my paypal, but is seems to me I have no choice.
Say that they reject my en tro pay application, what am I to do? Are there any other cards that will work without address verification etc?
Thanks.

@nosey-one, it is ONE less matter for paypal to be involved with: refunds & payments are fine. Allowing them an extra foot of rope to hang my account is not.
I 'control' what happens by reducing potential trouble.
Say your bank account has no funds in it, paypal account has no funds either: what is the outcome of ebay's using paypal as a payment method? A negative balance in paypal & possibly the bank account.
So ebay is annoyed for no fees.
paypal is annoyed for negative balance
bank hates the account being overdrawn.
That's 3 parties all annoyed with one seller.
But use an alternative method, like a card, then ebay gets its fees. paypal & bank are not touched. Everyone is reasonably happy.
Dont know about you, but I prefer that method

IMHO - as a newbie - here goes. E-Bay and Paypal go hand in hand on some things and not on others. i.e. when my paypal account was limited so was one of my e-bay accounts linked to paypal - the other ebay account fees were paid by dd and not linked. Anyway (and this is all before I read stealth!) - one goes down yet ebay could have taken their fees from my limited paypal a/c but they didn't, they just kept pestering me for them, which I didn't pay of course.
Now then, some time later, the ebay account that was still active with a new paypal a/c was shut down as it was linked (sharing physical information) with the original closed account and ........ the new paypal a/c was shut too.
Although they are one and the same, ebay will not take your fees from paypal - don't know why but now that I have read stealth and know what to do. Seperate user id's, ip's, and other details - all seperate. I'm just struggling now with getting a gift card for my new stealth venture.

Well, sorry, but I still don't get it. (No comments about thickos please)
ebay know your PP acct because you receive into it from their site. They also have bank and CC details because PP will tell them (whatever the rights or wrongs of that)
Would it not, I suggest, be a sign that you are totally honest and up front because you are paying your ebay fees with your PP acct?
I still stand by my original assertion - if one of your accts goes down (ebay or PP) the other isn't going to be any use to you.
OK - shoot me down!

You are better of purchasing " eBay Stealth" end of hassle and saves you money regardless what you would do when you make a new eBay account/PayPal account.

Sure thing. Well basically what I found is, one way or another you need to assign a card to either pp or eb.
I opened an en tro pay account. Even though they say your virtual card is active it isn't, you have to wait for an email which say that you have been restricted and that you need to send us some identification. So you do that no problems. As for the merchants you will be using the virtual card with, tell them is just for general web purchasing that's all. Only a dummy would say it's for pp imo.
So then a few hours later, the virtual card was ready to use. I loaded it up with the minimum of £10. Then I went to list my first item on my new eb account. This leads you to the page where is asks you for a payment method for sel ler fees. I chose the middle one, that is pay with dc or cc. I put in the virtual card details, clicked continue, and booooooom it was successful.
However, because my bank account is in the process of being verified, they wanted me to sign into pp and type the 2 small amounts in which they deposit. It should come through 2mo and hopefully all is well. I shall go on to make a few more accounts.
What I plan to do is make one off payment somehow before they take the money directly from my virtual card. There is no need to pay the 4.5% on the virtual card.
Hope that helps.

So your bank is being verified and you are paying your fees with a VCC.

Hello again
There is one thing that is still unclear for me... Will you have a different ba nk acct for each PP?
Once you create the VCC, you will register it with e b ay? And the ba nk acct with PP?
How will you be able to withdraw your earnings? with PP straight to your bank acct or with the VCC?
I am sorry for all the questions....my brain is a bit slow when it comes to new things like that and i don't want to make mistakes....
Thank you

I don't even get the option. Anyone know a little more on this? ^^. Thanks.

UNFORTUNATELY Withdrawing to VCC is not an option in UK. If it was I would be holidaying in Barbados AT LEAST three times a year and that knackered old Rover parked outside my house would be a Lotus Exige (sport)

It's just not an option yet in UK. US PayPal have allowed it for some time.
In UK, there are no gift cards that contain sort code and account number. In US they use to act like a bank account. Now PayPal have simply made it acceptable to withdraw to credit cards -- but not in UK. https://www.paypal.com/helpcenter/ma...392&isSrch=Yes | |

I know in Italy you can withdraw to a pre-paid.
You can go through full verification without a bank acc (bank acc are not free in IT) using the prepaid and withdraw to the prepaid cc.
Downside: to open the prepaid you need to go to the post office with your ID and national insurance number.

I dont see the problem of just doing it to your bank account.
Why mess around with them VCC if you don't have to. After all they are just another organisation after your money!

Here i come with another question.
Does PP have an CC? Prepaid debit/credit card?
I heard about it, but never had the chance to ask for more info from anyone.
Wouldn't that help people to withdraw money faster...not to a bank....just cash quickly.
Any info about that?

PayPal did have a card a few months ago now.
However they suddenly stopped the scheme so no they no longer have cc's.
