Don't try to test how many online savers you can open with them though... unlike other banks they won't stop you when you reach the maximum that they would like you to have. I opened 8 and a day after the 8th was opened, they closed down 2 of them, and the same day I went into branch to withdraw some cash. They informed me that my card was not functioning for some reason, and was asked to sit in an office. After almost an hour, I was told that I would receive a new card as well as a letter informing me about the use of my account in the post. It turns out that this was all a big lie and they just sent me a letter informing me that they no longer want me as a customer, and that I am also banned from any other banks from the same group... bye-bye RBS. All this over opening a few too many online savers... they could have warned me but no, they decide to go all out and ban me.
Very poor way of dealing with things, lying to me to get me to leave the branch and then removing me like I was a some poo that they scraped off their shoe, when I even didn't know that I did anything wrong; nowhere do they mention that there is a restriction on account number, or that this would be grounds for banning you for good. When I asked me why they did not simply implement a restriction on the number of savers like other banks, they simply told me that "we don't do that". Well, no sh*t Sherlock... I had to find that out for myself. Good riddance to them.
