Yes, all OK for both. Natwest is very good used by many stealthers here.

I have found its one of the banks that ask the most questions on WHY you need the accounts but act cool and make sure you dont 'abuse' the system.

I prefer to keep the account 'current' by paying and loading money onto the VCC...

Pay the fees say every few days. I think it factors into eBay building 'trust' and showing you can manage your account.

Currently I have natwest current and savings account. Is natwest savings account ok to use to verify PP? Does it allow deposits or do you need to ask natwest to allow deposits to your savings account?

And last question how do you guys approach banks for more accounts? I want to open another 2 current accounts with natwest but wonder how to request it?

Surely they will ask why do I need another 2 accounts.

Will something like I want to start small online retail business and keep money away from my personal accounts work?
Thanks!

if you use online banking you can just request new accounts no questions asked . if you have to go in as i did keep it open my line was simply "i wanted to manage my finances better" they didnt ask i didnt tell .

guess if they asked i would say to manage direct debits seperatly , to manage wage in one , holiday fund in another , savings account , esavings account for better access . birthday fund for the kids .

im sure you can think of reasons you may just seem a little odd but some people do manage things like this . at one point i had like 6 lloyds account for diffrent reasons, one for gym dd one for contact lenses dd .

said i wanted to just drop the yearly ammount in the accounts and forgett about them knowing no matter how much i spent in my current account all bills would automatically sort them self

Sound bank, Natwest.

Variety of accounts suitable for stealth too.

Don't try to test how many online savers you can open with them though... unlike other banks they won't stop you when you reach the maximum that they would like you to have. I opened 8 and a day after the 8th was opened, they closed down 2 of them, and the same day I went into branch to withdraw some cash. They informed me that my card was not functioning for some reason, and was asked to sit in an office. After almost an hour, I was told that I would receive a new card as well as a letter informing me about the use of my account in the post. It turns out that this was all a big lie and they just sent me a letter informing me that they no longer want me as a customer, and that I am also banned from any other banks from the same group... bye-bye RBS. All this over opening a few too many online savers... they could have warned me but no, they decide to go all out and ban me.

Very poor way of dealing with things, lying to me to get me to leave the branch and then removing me like I was a some poo that they scraped off their shoe, when I even didn't know that I did anything wrong; nowhere do they mention that there is a restriction on account number, or that this would be grounds for banning you for good. When I asked me why they did not simply implement a restriction on the number of savers like other banks, they simply told me that "we don't do that". Well, no sh*t Sherlock... I had to find that out for myself. Good riddance to them.

^ Ouch looks like to pushed it too hard, 8 in one day jeez!

Have you done that with success at other banks?

If opening multiple accounts with one bank i would always recommend doing it over a longer period...

I never said 8 in 1 day. It was 8 over a period of 4-5 weeks.

And like I said, other banks just stop you once you go over a certain number... 5 in the case of Barclays and Halifax; they just tell you that you have opened the maximum number.

Natwest should take a leaf out of their book and stop you before it's too late... rather than telling me what I already know after I find out the hard way.

It's just very poor customer service on their part.

I've got more than 8 accounts with Nat West and another load more with RBS.

Faults on both sides.

You appear to have assumed it was OK to open so many accounts.

Bank could have treated you better, no doubt at all.

Comes down to be circumspect when opening bank accounts of any sort in the UK.

There are limits. Always have been.

Your post, prior to you amending it, indicated that you did (both Imakes and myself interpreted it that way). Thanks for clarifying.
