Default closed cases without seller resolution

Hi,

I am a powerseller which last year had a couple of cases against me one was an item that was sent out with tracking number uploaded but when logging on to royal mail just said item waiting to be sorted, this was like this for around a month. eventually buyer got a refund i think from ebay as ebay said this was through no fault of my own as tracking was provided. the other was the same instance and again ebay refunded the buyer and said not my fault. second case was again buyer never recieved item case against me however i had tracking number as proof. after case was over the item came back to me and no one had picked it up from the sorting office as the person was out when delivered.

However i can see i have had 2 cases against me without seller resoultion and from reading if i was to get another one this could actually leave my account in very bad standing?

I am pretty sure that ebay paid for the refund of the items that went missing!

what you guys think?

cheers

Makes sense that as your cases tally up, eB will perceive you to be a risky seller to have hanging around. What's your current DSR? Good feedback %?

100 percent feedback very 5.0 5.0 4.9 4.8 dsr

Was not really my fault as items were sent out recorded delivery with tracking numbers ebay even stated this in their ebay message to me also.

but looking at it, it seems to have been counted against me. in future what am i best doing just refunding them the money and then claim off post office.

How long do you guys wait before issuing a refund for INR case.

cheers

if it gets close to esculation date i would make a choice as you are only allowed 0.3% of these cases on your account and thats not alot even if your a big seller

The cases would cover the same period of your DSR.

I would never let a case close without seller resolution. In my experience, eBay just wants you to do what is REASONABLE. I have never had eBay tell me to do something crazy to resolve a case.

Of course, I'm somewhat lucky as most of my niches don't attract too many scammers and I have very few cases opened.

The mobile phone market probably attracts the most scammers.

I thought i was safe as i had a tracking number ebay did pay the 2 cases back there money and never took from me but looks like it actually could go against me. this i never thought

any one else had this expierience?

i will take your advice and not let it get that far in future even if i have done my part correctly.

I would sell as many items as possible now to get your DSR's up. Cheap items with free P&P. If you get your sales over 400 for a 3 month period, only the cases against you in that time will be counted.
