Question Any new news on lifting limits? 100/£3500?

Hi guys,

Been on 100 items/ £3500 per month limit for nearly 1 year now. I have been hitting my limit of £3500 or the last 4 months i have reached £6000 to £7500 per month. As mentioned by other users, be patient and they will increase the limits organically. This im afraid has not been the case for me.

I have 100% positive and 4.9 DSR with a business account.

So the account is in my other halfs name and she has not got a clue about the account, ebay, what goes on, my business...etc. So her calling in to try to get it raised is a big no go.

What else can i do? is there any new news or tricks to get it raised higher? i really need 7k to 10k at least as im leaving my full time employment soon to focus on my business.

The issue might be if you are selling low volume, high value items ie exceeding the cash limit but no where near on quantity.

How many items a month are you selling?

If you aren't maxing your item quantity, sell some low value items as well.

I've had accounts increased to 400 / £11500 by selling nothing over the value of £3.

I wish you luck there. Be careful of doing this.

Dont forget that at any time ebay/paypal may destroy that idea.

For full time ebay, you may need several accounts all going full steam.

Addressing this issue of the limits not increasing, start selling more smaller items to boost numbers.

Consider making new accounts to have as part of a portfolio for when you are full time.

Good Luck

Increase the quantity of items you sell and try to hit these selling limits as well.

Also a good idea to build up several backups. Sounds like if you loose your main account you may be done for.

Appreciate the advice,

No i am not hitting 100 items per month, probably more like 50 max. The items i sell are pricey and not cheap. It would be difficult for me to sell cheap items for the types of industry im in, there are cheap items to sell but they dont sell well. I mean i still wont hit the 100 mark.

I got banned off ebay with my 11 year old account due to apparently many vero strikes about 2 years ago. I might open a new account in my name as back up just in case.

Currently i have a buying account which i also have a limit of £3500 on too. But i just had permission from ebay that i can sell on it too, not the same items mind... different items.

Dont open a new account in your own name, needs to be stealth or it will get linked.

Look at another area for cheap items to sell if you cannot in your area. Look a joblot items on eBay.

@J4G3D

Go into strict planing mode now.

Start being very careful about how you operate. Be careful of this account you got permission to sell on again.

Explain why you are thinking of making an account in your 'own name'. Is that info previously banned.

This may be a chance for you to move onwards with stealth.

Be careful here. Assume nothing.

Interesting thread from my end as I'm in the same boat at this guy for my stealth account...only difference is I'm reaching the reverse on the limits.

I'm hitting my 100 limit fairly quickly and always every month for the last 6 months and now qualified top rated seller. However still no increase. The amount though is only perhaps around £500-£800 mark.

I'm thinking its prob going to take the one year mark at this rate for an increase. If it comes earlier then least its a nice surprise!

Oh and DSRs are like 4.95 - 4.99 so no problems there.

Simple solution if you need to sell more is to create more accounts.

Question

The 11 year old account was banned and was in my name. But registered at a different address. I dont think if i register a new account in my name that it will be linked to my other halfs as i will only log in using my mobile (i get 20mb download so its pretty quick) or i will tether the mobile to a basic laptop while logging in..etc.

So they both will not get linked but as mentioned i may get in trouble in terms of re registering when im already banned.

Stealth may be the option on top of the current account but its kinda scary, i have not looked into it properly... is there a stealth guide available?

Yes there is a guide

You can not and you should not think of doing a single thing until you have carefully looked into stealth methods

Do you even know that there is a chance of being linked if you use your real name again???

These are the things to learn now

Just to let you all know, got my limits lifted recently.

I was on as per above 100 items or £3500. I listed nowhere near 100 items but always reached my £3500 limit or went over it in many cases.

Automatically my account has been lifted to...ready for it?

500 items / £17,500
