Default MC043 NOTICE, need help :/

Hey guys, I have just had this message off ebay & im at a loss. I have run searches on this forum & cant find anything (im sure its just my rubbish searching). Anyone know what the problem could be because I havent updated any information & have been selling on this account for about 5 months. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks. Chico

PS//for my phone number, I used the telephone box method.

"It has recently come to our attention that some of the contact information on your account is false or missing. This breaches our False or Missing Contact Information policy.

***About eBay's False or Missing Contact Information policy***

The name, telephone number, email address and physical address you register with eBay must be correct at all times so that eBay and your buyers and sellers can get in touch with you. You may not register a fax machine, modem or disconnected number instead of your actual contact telephone number.

For more information about this policy please copy this link into a new browser window:

We realise that privacy concerns could mean you're reluctant to register all your details with us, or you might have just forgotten to enter or update your details.

Here's what you should do now:

Please update your contact information within 48 hours to avoid the possibility of suspension of your eBay membership. Here's how:

1. Go to My eBay > My Account > Personal Information.
2. Click 'edit' next to any details that need updating and click 'save'.

If you don't want to list your home telephone number, you can list a voicemail number or a work number instead.

We respectfully request that you keep your contact information up to date in future. Repeated breaches of this or another eBay policy may result in the suspension of your eBay membership.

Thank you for your cooperation in this important matter.

So all your info is correct besides telephone number? Seems like they were trying to call you - get a forwarding number right away and fix the situation so you don't blocked potentially.

Simple solution.

I was wondering actually, because recently I had to complete a few steps on the paypal account linked to this ebay account, because I reached more than £1,600 or something (anti money laundering act). I used a different phone number to verify the paypal account, so could this be the potential problem? also a competitor got one of my listings removed recently under the copyright act or something. So maybe these are factors that played a part?

Thanks for the advice rsot, its much appreciated. Anyone else have any experience with this problem? thanks guys. Chico

Ok so you got a warning from a copyright takedown of listing? Yes all the little things add up for sure. Someone, whether eb ay or competitor, tried to pull your contact info to call you then could not get through in all likelihood so reported you. Fix that number asap and don't sell the item that got taken down.

Make new accounts and try other ways if you abso-fuggin-lutely need to.

Awesome, thanks for the help rsot. Yeah I will get on the case in regards to that new number right now. I have a lot of aged backup accounts on standby, so I will let this account cool off if I pass this obstacle.

This is the first time I have had this happen to me (That specific warning) so hopefully I can learn from it.

Take it easy & many thanks again. Chico

thanks for the pointers guys, I went with soho66 and it worked perfectly. My problem is though, I have a LOT of accounts & dont fancy paying £2 per each number every month because it will cost me a small fortune. But I see on soho66 they say its easy to cancel a number by sending them a quick email. So has anyone used soho66 just to verify & then cancel the number so you only pay the initial number fee but you wont have to continue paying it monthly? I would rather do it this way, then if ebay send me this notice again, I will pick up a new soho66 number incase they call.

If anyone has done this, I would be glad to hear how it went. Thanks again guys for all your hep. Chico

In the grand scheme of things chico I would not say that £2 per number is bad atall...with the kind of money you can make from operating many stealth accounts on ebay...

you should not have to email them , you can cancel numbers from the admin interface, you are also better to leave the number active incase PP or Eby try to ring you in later days.
