Yes, they have lifted the restriction

However they asked me to update my date of birth myself which was originally wrong. because they cannot access my personal information. So how can I update my date of birth? there is no option in ebay to be able to edit it

I went to live chat to ask. What a surprise! many of them said I can change it by myself...just go to myebay/account/personal information!!!! And when they go to personal information, there is no option to edit date of birth. Then they all were like...how come...where is it!!! and then transferred me to the right department (but actually random department.) I don't know how can they hire such stupid staffs to work on live chat. They even don't know a very simple thing on ebay. Many times I went to live chat I had to teach them how to do!

However there are a few of them told me that they cannot change it as well. They have to transfer me to the special team to do it for me.

And after about 10 (yes, I am serious it's 10) transfers to many random departments. Finally I chatted with a guy who told me that he will escalate my issue to the right team to update my date of birth on my profile for me. And they will send me email to let me know within 48 hours. Fingers crossed! I hope they can work out for me. Otherwise I can't be bothered to ask them for more help. It's a waste of time.

Personally i wouldn't have done anything, i would have just left it like it was unless they contacted me again about it which i doubt very much they would.

when should i chat to them on 'live chat' to check the docs?
should i leave it a while or go straight in?
