Just checked both nitices from Ebay that I have received today - both on fairly new stealth business accounts

Neither mentions ID

Have they taken over around 2k in the past year?

At the end of the day, ID will most definitely be required, its not something that needs debate. I was just curious as to when it was going to come up.

Yes it's most definitely the "know your customer" law so the 2k check that paypal do.

Question is, can we get creative with Adyen ?

I'm considering giving it a go on one account when the time comes while I put the others on hold.

Yes thats my plan to. Holiday settings, and use the account with the lowest turnover to try it.

However, you cant really get creative, unless you are going to try mismatched names on the bank account/ebay account - the issue is, you wont know if it was your ID or the mismatch that brought the account down..

I am concerned that even though I plan to add genuine people onto my accounts, there will be a huge name change, like

Adam Smith to Sarah Peterson etc....

Even that may look bad enough for them to shut them down.

At first, I thought the MP situation could be overcome, but now, my concerns are growing greatly that they won't be.

I received the reminder today with the ID bit.

Over 2K yearly sales but over 40K under the 85K threshold for the year.

My business bank account statements don't show a name - they are as below:

Does this mean I can keep the stealth personal name on my ebay account and just need to update the ebay business name to Amazing Wigits LTD?

I have done over 20k sales in the past 2 months on both stealth's but neither email mentions ID, i have never went past the 85k threshold...

I doubt a name change could trigger a ban. In changed names completly last week on a stealth account to see what would happen and nothing has flagged yet.

Yes, ive done it before to put a new PayPal on after it went down, and touch wood, all has been fine for almost a year.

Im just concerned because we don't know how much they will scrutinize, i,e its not the name change I am concerned about, its the verification and the name change.

If i was you, i would change the name on the ebay account to match your real name, that that way your passport will match it, meaning you can pass the verification. A name change on ebay cant surely link you back to previous accounts, because everything else is different such as address/email etc. Try that on one account i guess to see how it works, you never know :)

I did say thats what I was intending to do early on in this thread. Its the only feasible solution I feel, real people real passports and real bank accounts. Different person on each account.

At least for the time being till we learn to fluff it all.

Correction; i changed my name twice on ebay last week, and nothing happened lolol. So surely changing names on your business ebay account cannot flag anything (ebay could think you've legally changed names or you've handed the business to your partner etc so they cant be concerned from what i see).

Its a real FKN bummer because i recently joined stealth and everything was going so well making me think this could last, now MP are here to ruin the lot aha

hello id it requires when you start to register in invitation all account must added id and bank stat I have new account only make 800 pounds in this year and they ask for ID SO IT INVENTION THEY NOT MENTION ANYTHING ABOUT ID but when you start to make step to join and added bank account they ask about it

no, i stop cuz i don't have a real bank account or address for it also id not a problem here you can make id and it was work with PayPal then will work with eBay as well but the problem with bank account cuz it seems they want real bank not virtual and address and match name

But if your ebay account has a stealth address what will you do when they ask for a bank statement - fudge the address to match your ebay stealth address?

The address bit is easy. This protects linking (to an extent) to original banned accounts.

You'll just have to get creative with the bank statement if you need it to match with your real address. A little bit of editing on Photoshop should do the trick. However, my worry is that ADYEN may be able to see what address is linked with the bank account, is that possible do you think?
