Default Is my PayPal UK account limited?

I've had numerous issues with PayPal over the past 12 months but this one is a bit confusing...

I withdrew the funds that were in my paypal account yesterday no problem. Then yesterday afternoon, I tried to pay for something and got a message saying 'We're not able to process your payment using your PayPal account at this time'. Thought nothing of it, but then tried ordering something else today and got the same message.

There's £165 in there so tried withdrawing it and got a message saying 'There seems to be a problem with your PayPal account. Please go to the Resolution Centre so we can help you resolve this quickly'. Went to Resolution Centre and nothing there.

I can log in to PayPal, and can receive payments, but can't spend my balance or withdraw it. I had an alert saying my card had expired a month ago so it let me delete the card (which I didn't think you could do if limited), and it let me start the verification process for a second card that was already on the account.

I've not had any emails from PayPal other than the payment notification emails, and as I said, no notices when logging in, or in the resolution centre.

Is it likely my account is limited or is it more likely to be down to the fact my card expired exactly 30 days ago yesterday?

Might want to go to resolution center and send in the requested docs.

Did you actually bother to read my entire post?? There is NOTHING in the resolution centre. Nothing saying the account is limited, nothing asking for me to do anything, N O T H I N G.

Is there anything under the notification icon (the bell shape top right of the screen)? Is the account fully verified (EU limit lifted)? Do you now have a card added and confirmed on the account? If you don't then do that first, wait a few days and try to withdraw a small amount. If you are still getting that message and have no visible limitation then you will need to contact Paypal.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. The only thing under the notification icon is a message asking me to confirm my debt/credit card (it let me delete the old expired card and there was already a second card on the account which I'd been using for purchases, but evidentaly it was never verified, so I begun the verification process when I deleted the old card).

The worrying thing though is that it won't let me add a new card either as I tried adding a card for an account that shows 'pending transactions' so I could verify it instantly rather than waiting a few days for it to show on my other account.

Ok so bit the bullet and phoned PayPal. My account is limited due to an outstanding working capital balance on a different account. I explained that both my accounts got limited a few weeks ago and when they lifted the limitation they only did it on one account so I was not able to receive money into the account with working capital so they couldn’t take their 20% and apparently I’ve got to speak to ‘Merchant Support’ to agree a repayment arrangement before they will send my account for review.

I did tell them that without PayPal, I can’t sell on eBay which is 90% of my business so if I can’t sell on eBay, I won’t be able to pay anything off the working capital and that seemed to fall on deaf ears. Will ring back when the ‘Merchant Support’ are open and see what they have to say.
