Withdrawal in 45 days after 14 day suspension
Okay- just had a load of PayPals go down (was expecting it) but had a totally new email from them:
Dear Dear xxxxxxxxxxx,
We have noticed a problem with your accounts and have decided to restrict
them to prevent further use.
What is the problem?
To help protect our customers' accounts, we routinely review account
activity. It appears from our review that you have more than one account,
one of which has engaged in activity that violates our User Agreement. Due
to this issue, we have restricted access to the accounts. We will close the
accounts unless you appeal within 14 days of this notice.
What happens next?
If you would like further information on why PayPal has restricted your
accounts, or if you believe you have received this message in error, you
may contact us and appeal the decision: click Contact Us on any page of the
PayPal website.
Please be prepared to provide copies of one or more of the following
documents with your appeal:
• Passport, driver's licence, or other governmentally issued ID
• Recent utility bill
• Business registration number or proof of company registration (if your
account is in the name of a company)
If you don't appeal this decision within 14 days of this notice, we may use
money in your PayPal accounts to resolve any amounts owing to us.
To protect against the risk of payment reversals or buyer complaints, we
will hold your PayPal account balance for up to 45 days. We may use the
balance to cover any reversals we receive against your account. When funds
are available for withdrawal, we will send you an email. Once you receive
this email, you can log into your account and click Withdraw at the top of
the page to withdraw your funds.
We regret the need to take this action, but in the circumstances, we
believe it to be necessary to protect our customers.
Sincerely
PayPal (Europe) Sàrl et Cie, SCA
Anybody seen this before?? They are only stealing my money for 45 days. Admittedly they have just paid out big time on a CCJ but still, don't they make up their own laws?
BTW - I have NEVER ripped anyone off on PayPal and have hundreds of happy repeat customers worldwide, they are just a bunch of elbows (laugh if you get the reference) and once they have your name their typing monkeys eventually pick you up.
Thankfully Aspkin has now given me the tools to throw them some bananas and focus their attention elsewhere.
