I was joking about them looking at your picture. Anyway 2nd pp account about 2 weeks old, confirmed bank account and passed the 1900 limit no problem. Did not have to put any more info into pp either so was good.

Hi Guys,

I received this from paypal it clearly states they want photo clearly showing first last name, date of birth and date of expiry. I will send them my passport with ALL other details blacked out for security reasons. Paypal are not a bank they are a private company who are rich and greedy and have us all by the balls and they know it.

They track us via cookies, ip etc. They keep this information for god knows how long. There policies state they destroy all documents once used (this ill bet my life that is a pile of bull. I say this because there not based in UK but in Luxembourg.)

Anyway im ranting this is email:

Dear xxxx,

Thank you for responding to our requests to further verify your customer
information. As we cannot lift the EU-Receiving Limit on your PayPal
account until all requirements have been met, we would appreciate your help
with completing the steps below, so that we can review your account further.

Here’s how to update your Postal Address:

We’re introducing a new and improved Profile to some customers. Until all
customers are using the new Profile, there are 2 sets of instructions on
how to do this. Please follow the instructions that match what you see on

1. Go to www.paypal.co.uk and log in to your account.
2. Click ‘Profile’ near the top of the page.
3. Click ‘Postal Address’ under ‘Account Information’ and then click
‘Edit.’
4. Enter your address information and click ‘Save.’

3. Click 'Update' beside 'Address.'
4. Enter your address information and click ‘Save.'

Here’s how to add an address:

Address.’

5. If you have a credit card or a debit card on your PayPal account

PayPal is required to comply with the European Union anti-money laundering
and 'Know-Your-Customer' regulations. This regulation requires us to verify
your identity and address given to us. This sounds complicated, but it is
not!

All we need is a proof of identity.

What is a valid proof of identity?

We accept:
- Your driver's license (photo counterpart)
- Passport
- Other photo ID that was issued by a government body.

Please note that all the information below must be visible on the document:
- First and last name
- Date of birth
- Date of issue and/or expiry

Note: The document needs to be fully visible. Partial documents cannot be
accepted as a valid proof of identity.

You can easily upload the documents through the Resolution Centre in your
PayPal account, or fax it to 0044 (0) 8707-307-197.

Please note; if you fax the documents you must:
- Have a cover sheet
- On the cover sheet place the e-mail address registered on you PayPal
account
- On the cover sheet place the Case ID number

After reviewing your PayPal account, we noticed that you have registered
initials for your first name. Please note that at least one of your first
names as stated on your passport/driver’s licence needs to be registered in
full on your PayPal account. Therefore we ask you to complete a name
change. All we need is the following information/documentation:

• A photo ID showing your full name. (Not needed if previously provided)

• Please send us an email stating the reason for the name change request
and, also, indicating how your name should appear on your PayPal account:

1. Go to the PayPal website and log in to your account.
2. Click the "Contact Us" link.
3. Click "Send us" under Email us.
4. In the "Choose a Topic" box, select "My Account". In the "Choose a
Subtopic" box, select "Name Change".
5. Click "Continue".
6. Select the type of name change you would like to make and click
"Continue".
7. Follow the online instructions.



We will need you to update your business name as well from xxxxxx
to xxxxxxxxxx based on Companies House.

We will gladly help you to update the business name on your PayPal account.

Please follow the steps below:

1. Log in to your PayPal account
2. Click ‘Profile’ near the top of the page.
3. Select ‘Business Information’ in the Account Information column.
4. Click the ‘Change name’ link (next to Business Contact Name).
5. Select ‘Business Name Change (business name)’.
6. Enter your new business name and click Continue. The name of your
business will be changed instantly.

Note:
The name on your bank account(s) will still appear in your old business’
name, so it may be necessary for you to remove your bank account and then
re-add it to your PayPal account. By doing this, the name listed on your
bank account will be automatically updated with your new business name.

If the name on the bank account(s) is not consistent with the information
on file at your bank and you attempt to make a withdrawal from your PayPal
account, the transaction may fail. The funds may then be returned to your
PayPal account.

If your bank account is in your personal name, you should downgrade your
PayPal account from a Business account to a Premier account. The only
distinction is that Business accounts allow you to conduct transactions
under a company or business name, whereas Premier accounts use your
individual name on transactions.

We appreciate your patience and understanding regarding this matter and
regret any inconvenience it may cause you.

So like I said i will send them Phone bill for correct address and passport for ID as no address is on it. With passport number and other secure details blacked out. As for the phone bill they legally cant check it or they would break data protection laws. So again ill have the secure details blocked out. I also wonder if the passport office would be able to tell you what they are legally allowed to view on the passport, and what they can really get from the government :-) Maybe we should call them first.

you can blank out passport number so stop going on about it, I have been told this on phone and submitted blacked and not blacked and it was passed............
