Chances are, that is a competitor as you mention.
Once they used the "report item" link, it (more than likely) initiates a request to ebay to review the listing. Ebay would then review it and if it finds evidence of any violations, you will get an email notifying you of whatever infraction they found you violated.
I highly doubt one complaint from one buyer would prompt ebay to remove your listing. There has to be some sort of evidence of a violation in your listing (otherwise that report item link would be too powerful & we'd all be using it to take down the competition).
However, you now need to tread a bit more carefully. Maybe let that account cool down and sell more on another stealth account.
Check back this account afterwards. You don't want to ignore it and continue selling on this account frivously. This would allow other buyers to initiate more complaints.
More complaints --> more ebay bots checking on you --> MCxxx --> suspension/limitation
