Sounds good. Most buyers won't leave feedback, simply because they don't know how and can't be bothered to look. A quick email with some simple instructions probably works well on a large amount of sales.
yes, you should ask for feedbacks, with a nice template and the good words. There is a great thread about that in the subscriber area, I applied this method + a little bit of mine and between 50% to 75% of my customers leave a great feedback. But of course if you are selling crap, don't expect more feedback than stated in previous post
Why bother with that though? Whether I get 60 feedback / month or 1000 feedback / month the bottom line is I'll still get the same sales volume. Majority of customers buy from the buy box without considering anything else, and whether you have 100 feedback or 10000 feedback people don't really care as long as you're 100% positive.

I believe the feedback score plays (although maybe a small) roll in the algorithm in calculating the buy box time. More positive feedback doesn't hurt

Well, for FBA it doesn't.
I have an account with like 5 feedback, and 1 with 100 feedback on the same listing, and both get approximately an equal buy box share, as do other sellers with 10000+ feedback.
