Default should I allow this return if this comes about?

*Details: The customer is purchasing the cartridges for her printer so the customer want to know if the printer is not working if it would be okay to return the cartridges. Please research the issue and contact the customer ASAP to resolve the customer issue.Thank you for your cooperation.*

I never have run into this as of yet. What would you answer?

Reply they cannot return used cartridges, so they need to check if the printer is working before they buy the item, because you can't be dumped with a useless item that has been used if she starts using it in her printer then the printer breaks down.
