Like I took down all my auctions for 1 week to take a break from ebay and due to shipping my items.
And like I still get 5 customers per day from all accounts asking me to buy my product.
I swear some of them don't see vacation status and are lame.
Just sick of ebay got newer products for amazon.

I'd have to look at my 2012 to see how that went.
On a bright side, my sales picked up a little. Might be the weekend. Gonna take a lot to make up for the last 7 days tho.

I have slow sales too, what can we expect? People having trouble purchasing stuff (bad economy) and people dying everyday also less sales for stuff on ebay.

Well it might last a while, but not everything last forever. One thing is what you expect another thing is what life brings you. I'm not complaning only saying. Wish everybody the best.

I heard ebay is deciding to try to fight the falling revenue figures by expanding into new areas. Last I heard they were in advanced negotiations to buy Tim Hortons...

Stan why don't you enlighten us and explain to us all what it is youre doing on these forums - since ebay and amazon are both dead ends and theres no point in trying to sell on them. I mean youre a senior member here meaning youre supposed to be a tad more helpful than the rest but your defeatist attitude doesn't seem all that helpful.
What am I missing here?

Oops, I lied. My sales just picked up all of a sudden. I'm on vacation and my accounts went crazy today. Hope it continues.
By the way, I have a full time job but ebay keeps me with $300+ a week in my pocket to play with which is all I need and my wife loves it!
I'll make 2 more accounts and turn that $300 to $400.
Little to say I have work to do when I get home. Can't wait till my Dymo arrives Monday!

For those if you who claim it's only a few individuals ... Quote:
Up 7 percent? in 2007 and prior we were doing $30-$40k per month and up to as late as 2010-2011 we were spending $7-$10k per year on the site. We're now at $4-$6k per month sliding at what is an alarming rate in these past 6-7 months with maybe 10-12 sales over 3 accounts in this past week and we now spend essentially nothing on the site, purchasing only that which can't be found locally.
How many stories are out there just like ours and if one checks JD & Co. Diamond sellers, their sales are way down as well or at least all we're aware of and WHAT do they buy on JD & Co. that would in any way, shape or form make up for that which is no longer being purchased by small to mid-levels.
Cooked Books or JD & Co's multiple theft platforms is the only way I can see a stated increased GMV.
[quote]We used to do $12-15k per month sales. Now down to $3-4k (AND sliding) We used to spend $2-3k in supplies, shifting our purchases elsewhere. Something is not jiving with ebay's numbers....
[/quote
More .... Quote:
My sales went from $200-$500 a day for last two years to $10 a day. I ended all my listings and reset my store and my sales returned to normal for two days and then back to $10 a day.

He is correct I have been monitoring more than a few diamond sellers and their sales aren't doing good at all. So to those who say eBay drivers traffic to large sellers it isn't true anymore. eBay is sinking deeper and deeper into the gutter ...

Wow, I am laughing so hard to this thread.
I dont mind ebay, its a record year in sales for me. Within 6-9 months, I can buy another 4-plex apartment building. My goal is to quit ebay and go into real estate investing 100%.

Yes, sales have dissapeared...and with the UK scammers who call the site FREEBAY, I have actually lost money this week. I seel unfortunately in an area where how shall we say, less than desriable folk also use. I even witnessed a guy on a facebook forum page for the area I sell declaring how he got my item for free. Yes, picture and everything and a description of what he did to get it.
There are severe problems with the UK eBay site with regards to search and listings, and also, thankfully, there seems to be a mini revolution starting Personal message to eBay ...you are a REAL mess an... - The eBay Community |

We can argue all day about sales increasing or decreasing, but it's all about what you're selling. I'm sure we all are selling a variety of different items.

I was actually thinking the same thing.
I think that non essential entertainment items won't start selling until November ,
And seasonal stuff starts to sell already.
