I went from powerseller in one month to it dont get deeper than the shade of red they they gave me on my seller performance tab with open cases and negative feedback being handed left right and centre. Now just to add absolutley none was my fault, just those typical scammers and dubious buyers. Due to the way it was going, i swore i was never gonna pay my seller fees that was accumulating at £3.5k.

Now this had been coming over a 3 month period and i went from having a 600 item/£600,000 selling facility to 10 items/£15,000...That was to show you how bad they viewed me, so as everyone knows, recovering from that is just totally impossible. Above all, every single negative feedback i appealed against with the defects was not granted.

So 5 days ago they suspended me for not paying my ebay seller fees which i expected but all of a sudden this evening i got this message

"Great job! You've recently improved your seller performance on eBay in the US programme. You’re no longer Below Standard"..and an offer of becoming a POWERSELLER again!

So i dont know if anybody has experienced this but surely it must be for me to pay them that cake?? and lead me into a false sense of security, once i pay, they suspend me from selling.I smell a trap! (at least account is on stealth anyway!)

Once or twice yes that can happen.

Time and time again? Seems like something is off with your business plan.

If you owe eBay fees. Pay them.

On a side note. It is possible to be below standard for the UK and above standard for the US. It will depend on your ratings for sales to that country.

I agree, even if it is a trap pay your fees. If everyone screws ebay for the fees they owe after a while all they will do is up the percent for each charge to make up for it...then we all have to pay

Just to add though, in my trade we have a lot of items that might be for parts and not working alongside fully tested units

A lot of people want to take the gamble first and see how it pans out and when it dont work for them, say it wasnt as described

any excuse to get money back

That never works dude never. People sell the boxes for an ps4 on ebay for the price of a ps4 because the people dont read the ad.

Yeah, I think selling for parts is gonna spell doom eventually. The sad thing is that idiot buyers come in waves. They dont really spread out. So when they see iPhone but thats as far as they read, not the part that says for parts, non-working (iPhone was just an example). Then you have the scammers on top of the idiots. Plus 1 Negative spreads like a virus. People see your negative and sometimes look for issues with their item as well.

As far as fees go, you should always pay your fees. Having said that if you think paying those fees will get the account back, I think they are just baiting you. BUT on another hand, I have a lot of stealths that get emails every couple months saying they have increase X-amount of dsr's to 5. Bragging how they protected my account that their stupid rules soiled in the first place.

You have two problems when it comes to your account as i can tell ..

Communication : Most of the time buyers contact you BEFORE opening a case to explain there problem and if you are unreasonable , don't reply or WRITE IN CAPS they will retaliate with opening cases.
You can always try your best to make sure you avoid a case by explaining decently and sympathetic even if you know you are not in the wrong, because most buyers do not read the listings.
You could always compromise with partial refunds etc.. to avoid bad feedback and cases.

Description : You need to make sure your listing says absolutely everything LOUD AND CLEAR. Write in huge big red writing if you have to, but you cannot just choose ' for parts not working' from the listing menu and expect that to be enough.
As i am sure if you did both of these things and said absolutely everything wrong with it, ebay would side in your favour.

You need to remember not everyone is out to get you, so there is no need to attack me when i am trying to help you, as you are obviously leaving information out somewhere.

No account gets this bad without good reason.

80% of the time I will get a message before a case is opened.

I make sure that I sent all my buyers a message asking them to contact me if they have any issues with their items. This helps cut down the number of cases massively.

I guess some expert here dont understand eBay.
Fee dont determine how much you are making. EBay is very
Unpredictable. Those fees come from listing fees
Final value fees, return fees. Shipping fees. Also if
You don't pay your monthly fee on the first or 17. Two
Weeks later your account get suspended. For no paying your
Fees. Which mean you will have to pay everything up to that point

Part or used items is very difficult on eBay almost impossible
Yo make any money.

I believe this a trap. Unless you have huge profit margins
I would not bother. I would just go stealth

Go luck

Sounds a trap, they probably make a bit of effort to get 3.5k back

well if you registered your stealth account to someone else's address and racked up a 3.5k bill i say you pay it. for all you know when they send the debt collector letter to that address it could give the person a heart attack lol.

i see it as this, I hate EBay therefore as long as the bill is under £200 i lose no sleep dumping the account.

This post is from almost a year ago.
