Hi guys, I found this program on Cnet.com that can change your IP address as often as you like. I think it might be great for us the "ebay suspended" people to avoid being linked to our old account by our IP address as aspkin said. what do you think aspkin? do you think this program will do the trick? after I installed it, you can either have a fake IP address world wide ( from France to africa ) or search under only within your country ( which I think might be better so ebay won't be suspecious? ) here is the link to cnet's program. it's free trial and after I used it I think it's awesome so I paid like $20 for it. let me know what you think guys Hide The IP - Reviews and free downloads at Download.com A |

So out of the handful that have been discussed in this thread and others lately, which IP hiding software would be recommended above all others for international trade? There's AOL, the Proxy Switcher, Hide-My-Ip.com, Hide The Ip, and I'm sure there's more. |

AOL is the sure fire way of staying on eBay, stick to ISP proxies. If you just use some sort of proxy software, you probably will get flagged at one point. |

Was this to create a UK related account? Was it by choice that you ended up with the UK ip or just an accident? Do you mind sharing the source? |

I'm looking for a reliable proxy service that will work on the majority of the internet. Youhide.com and freeproxyserver.net seem to have major limitations. Anyone have a recommendation? By the way, this isn't just for ebay. |

I use proxify.com, it's free service is okay, but to work with eBay, you need to pay a small fee. I like it.

I'm trying to create an account in another region and I need something that will show the location in that region too. As FB said, that will probably be safer. AOL won't give that location so I'm looking at other alternatives. In this thread, the proxy switcher and cnet program above stand out. Between those and AOL, which do you think has the lesser chance of being shot down? AOL is practically worldwide now I believe, right? So would the ISP proxy be the safer choice--even though the IP location will be different from the account location--or would you go with the proxy program that I can modify to the location of the eb account? |

Tell me all about it. Used it? Like it? Hate it? Can you change your IP to whatever you want? Does it stay or constantly change? Would you recommend it over AOL? Please share all.

No a proxy doesn't work, and say if the proxy is in China or Russia that would make you look even worse. Sometimes you lose connection with the proxy and suddenly you are back on your suspended IP and Ebay will know. Best way is to use dial up or just switch your MAC address, that will change your IP. |

Ideally, the idea would be for the proxy location to be the same as the ebay address and stay that way. Can you lose proxy connection even on a constant connection like broadband? The account will be registered in another country so just using dial up won't work. But even that aside, on dial-up I still get a warning before the connection is completely lost. |
