Thumbs up ** Ebay REINSTATEMENTS-- Read This!!!

HI:
Well, Besides experimenting with accts that get taken down, for "abusing", Ive been working with getting those accts "brought back to life"...

Heres some things Ive discovered:

a.) For me Personally, during the last 2-3 week periods, the newest acct around, even 3 days old, seem to be "Stealthier", than even the 6 month old accts I am using... why?

b.) Well, the accts were taken down for "stupid" stuff, too many listings, using bold, featured, etc, etc.. u guys know what i mean...

c.) Those accts were now brought back to life, by reinstatement,
d.) I have listed the same items, on a 6 month old acct
as well, on my acct which is now 13 days old,, (13 day old acct--listed on day 1, day 2, day 3, taken out, info faxed on day 4, again on day 9, again to diff fax on day 13--acct back up)..

e.) The 13 day old acct, now has over 80 listings
f.) When i try 80 listings on a new acct, even 3 months old---it gets taken out..
g.) 1 step further--- I listed Rolex items over the weekend on the 13 day old acct--not a problem.
h.) The 13 day old acct, has also sold 8 vero items, with buy it nows, fb up to exactly 10 since saturday...
i.) the 3 month old acct, fb at 24, listed 1 rolex item, taken down.... WHY??

YOU tell me ???

ANYHOW-- My point is, If im gonna use an acct, I am not gonna waste a 3-6 month old acct on Vero items, Im gonna use a fresh one-- PURPOSELY get it taken down on day 1 or 2, get it back up, and then sell like CRAZY!!! )

>>>> TIP of the day: <<<<

They give you a fax number of: 1-877-684-7340, on their generic reinstatement form..

(Have used it over and over again)-- I think their bogged down,,
*** I found another fax, from an older reinstatement from 2 yrs ago....
*** FACT: I have faxed the paperwork, 3 times to the 684-7340 number in the past month,,no answer..
>> YESTERDAY---used this fax number:
1-877-349-1798.... just checked my email---- Guess what??
-- THAT acct is now up!!!! ))

>> I am assuming maybe its an old T+S fax, that hardly no one knows about? Maybe its a Secretarys fax? I dont know, but its worked 3 times now for me.. )
As Always, Good Luck )

so do you think it is better to give ebay what they want with a 7 day suspension (copy of utility bill, state or govt issued ID) and fax that into them, or should I just let it go and start a new acct.... (banned for 7 because of vero)
Thanks!!!

okay sounds good- I have taken the tutorial already, and then had 2 more things pulled for violation, now I've been suspended for 7 days... so I am on my out the door ....
I just wasn't sure if I saw a reason for them to have a copy of my govt ID- they are going a bit over board, but then again that is nothing new.
Thanks for the help!

Question for you ebayhateluv about account reinstatements. Have you tried to get any old accounts reinstated? Like ones that were taken down several years ago? Back then they gave you no damn warnings, 7 day suspension periods, etc. They just banned you. Just curious.

Hi-simple answer is no....When July rolls around I'm gonna try my 4 Ps accts that they took out in 2007...I never had a problem all these yrs until 2007.. the only reason I was selling from 4 accts- was to split my inventory up + some customers who catch an attitude w/ u..they go over + buy my same product from me...unknowing..so I didn't loose sales...Some customers are very rude..no matter what u do..After one ebay Live session I think it was 2004-we started to place candy in w/purchases...had people write me-saying am I fat+ gotta give it away etc....If they only knew..I'm less than 100lbs dressed..

So for the older accounts, you would just log in via dial up (right to make sure no IP matches) and then send them a message through the system asking for reinstatement? I may try it. Got nothing to loose right? LOL

Wow I just tried this number you gave and it is amazing. Account suspended a year ago figured id try. Dummied up all the stuff and sent out the email on sunday. Got a response mid day monday saying that "they needed extra information as to why the addresses didnt match up" The account was so old that I forgot the address haha

I sent them a fax this morning saying that I was living with my girlfriend at the time and we broke up. Within 3 hours. REINSTATED.

That number is definately a keeper for now.

One of the reasons your older account might be taken out quick is because of the new DSR's. The good feedback could be putting you at the top of search results and thus your more visible then on an account with less feedback and age.

Hello, I am new, Ebay says you have to wait a week before faxing your reinstatement information to them. What info do I send them, copy of my drivers licence, if I don't have to I'd rather not. Can I give them bogus information. Do you have to wait the week or can I fax it over immediately?

My account was suspended last Friday (6/27) for a minimum of 7 days. I’ve already faxed today, but should I have waited until this weekend?

Also, can I still use that number 1-877-349-1798 ? My reinstatement form has a phone # (888) 259.6962.

Hello from a newbie, trying using the newer fax # of 1-877-349-1798 to see if that gets any of my account reinstated. Wish me luck!

Angry New to the Forum

Glad to have found you, and I see I have a lot of reading to do.

My account was suspended this summer during a period when I was very ill and my husband was hospitalized. I forgot to put my storefront on vacation status and consequently got some orders that weren't fulfilled right away. I did eventually ship everything or send refunds. I'm not a crook. (and not Nixon either)

Anyway, I got suspended with them saying that I fell into the bottom 1% of all sellers. How that is possible with a feedback rating of almost 8,000 is a mystery. I wrote to eBay and explained the situation, but they never responded. What a shock.

A couple of weeks ago my son opened up an account using his email address, his credit card, and bank account. Today that account was suspended because he is related to me! What the #@!

Now what?

I have a cable modem and he used ChannelAdvisor/Marketworks to launch his auctions, but that's where I have my storefront. What to do? I am desperate.
