I recall reading a thread regarding a user who received a hmrc letter of some sort Asking for details of all the eBay accounts they use I can't seem to find it now unfortunately.

with the new PayPal data they have access to might just be possible.

what you are thinking, is that paypal has given hmrc your bank acc, and then
hmrc can trace that back to you? I think that is not likely - but possible

Can I ask what TV reports your referring to?

so you are saying that in OP case, hmrc asked for this new users bank details, yet there was no sales history etc ....why would they pick on them?

....or that hmrc are working backwards, and have the bank acc for someone of interest, they lookup all their other bank accs , then they go to paypal and ask for a match to those bank accs?

what you say is possible, but think there is simple stuff that they can do, which would be like shooting fish in a barrel........I think stealth can protect you from that, as long as you do not grab a 'bad' address....

dunno, but remember something on tv and also mention of it on forum...

...I agree it is best not to rule anything out.

i can't be certain of anything,I'm just theorising here yhT they can find out who each stealth eBay PayPal belongs to only recently..somehow. Only time will tell.

Hmrc are only concerned with undeclared income or tax evaders, if you've paid the tax owed I don't see why they would have a problem with you.

As mentioned earlier, apparently there is no real problem here. OP has abandoned the post.

funny thing is that the OP only registered on the date they posted the thread, seems a bit odd to master stealth in a short period of time.

Lol, he is not the first to "master" stealth in one day and he will not be the last

i think theres some substance to his post, he must have done something very naughty.
Its probably just a matter of time before hmrc catch up to him.

no one is ever fully stealth, bank accounts are connected to stealth paypals....this alone can help identify the individual.

i would have liked to know if he was declaring his ebay incoe or whether it was something else he was doing.

I do know the answer to his issue and how he can possibly get around it, and it isn't by burying his head in the sand...

Maybe OP has used some real docs for the acc, and doc owner got problems with IRS, so they sent their lucky letters everywhere they could?

UPDATE:

i received a further email 48 hours ago telling me that another person "under the same address" was linked to this account and the amount of similarities "cannot be unlinked" and now both accounts are restricted until they get further info from the enforcement agency who placed the request.. who is apparently HMRC according to support + email.
