A little backstory. In 2019 I had an account under my own SSN/info. It was temporarily restricted for some open cases then had a non payment issue. Then in early 2020 I opened another account to see some household stuff. After about two months they linked it and suspended it for nonpayment as well. eBays collection agency has offered to settle the original account for 1/2 the balance and are saying after that I would be good to sell again. Is there any way they'll actually go for this?
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!
If the suspension was from lack of paying fees, then yes your account would be usable again. If it was suspended before you didn't pay fees I have doubt that the collection agency can fix what the system thinks of you.
From what eBay told me at the time it was restricted until all cases were resolved. Then during that time the fees were not paid and it was suspended for the fee issue
You did use ebay so fees should be paid. If eb collection agency is offering to settle, you should do it to avoid credit history hit - reinstatement is potentially true but it's not 100% certain eb would like you back on...
Agreed with the others about this just being a bait offer. If you'd paid up before the debt was sent to collections you probably could have salvaged your account but I seriously doubt they're going to reinstate you now that you've shown your true colors, twice.
is this really an Ebay collection agency,I mean part of Ebay Corporation?
Or Ebay has sold your debt to outside agency and they are trying to recover as much as they can.
if so,there is no way an outsider can remove your Ebay restriction
well, you better get the name of this Ebay rep so Ebay will reinstate you/
but whether you are reinstated or not,you owe the fee,Ebay has performed ,and you have made money,so dont be a deadbeat,PAY UP
