Default Don't be so quick to go with Paymate!!

The risk management team at Paymate may suspend your account for a variety of reasons, mainly to protect our clients. Common reasons include:

* You have not responded to one or more buyers whose complaints we have forwarded to your registered email address.
* You have not responded to a request for more information to enable us to assess your account relative to some payments received.
* You do not meet the minimum requirements for merchant approval.
* You have changed what you said you were selling in your original merchant application.
* You are selling a product or service in our list of Unacceptable Business Categories.
* Your ebay account has been closed or we have been informed that there are issues with your ebay status.
* Your website has been shut down.
* We have reason to believe you are not conforming with Paymate's Terms of Use.

If you can contact us and explain the situation, we will review the account and let you know if we can activate your Paymate account again.

When you sign up for a merchant account

You have to accept a direct debit authority!!!

Bank Accounts

You need a bank account to receive payments. This will be the ‘default’ bank account and you can change the default account here by selecting it (click on the bank account number) and selecting it to be the default account.

If you add more than one bank account, you must select one to the ‘default’ account into which we can credit payments to you. To add a bank account click on the ‘Add Bank Account’ link and fill in the form displayed. You will also need to accept the Direct Debit Authority shown. This is required so that:

* We can debit your account for any monthly fees applicable;
* We can debit your account for any ‘charge-backs’ resulting from credit card payments received by you previously.

To change a bank account click on the Account Number link in the myAccount – Financial Details page and view the details displayed. You can change or delete a bank account if there are no payments pending to be paid into it. After you make changes, you will need to click the ‘save and continue’ button and also to accept the Direct Debit Authority shown.

You can also delete a bank account added previously, but not if it is the default bank account.
