Paypal Refund after 60 days
I have a situation......need some advice. I've tried to refund a problematic buyer who made two payments. The second one I gave issued partial refund less S&H. The first one is so old that I can't refund it and paypal blew him off when he opened a dispute (I advised him to so I could possibly refund in a verifiable way.
Here's the issue......I'd like to be cool with this buyer. He's asking me to send him a new paypal payment as a refund for that first payment. Even if I include the original transaction ID's on this payment, I do not want to risk this buyer coming back and trying to do a chargeback with the cc company. I would rather tell him to do a chargeback now and get his money that way, even if PP hits me with a chargeback fee and the buyer getting pissed off. What do you think? An FYI........I wrote to paypal and they advised me to send him a new paypal payment. I think they're either morons or looking out for themselves for suggesting that.
