AND POA ..is that Plan of Action or Power Of Attorney? I dont understand why Amazon wants a Power of Attorney ?

Also if Amazon is asking for HMRC document I guess means Amazon cannot verify electronically the UTR?

POA is power of attorney letter. I mentioned it earlier in the same post. It's the one where you say you can represent yourself.

No, they can't verify UTR, otherwise all stealth accounts would be toast (although it does come with a check digit that needs to match up)

1. Can you explain more and how you can get one or get a template ...never heard of that request for USA ! Although I can see makes sense if you are "Individual X trading as Business Name Y"

2 can you explain "check digit that needs to match"? So could use any valid UTR? What documentary proof did they require or is acceptable to upload eg self assessment form or whatever?

and thanks ...

There's an algorithm UTR number must comply with.

Do you need to verify on the US site? If so, the requirements are likely to be different.

Not sure why because you should have been able to operate normally within that 60 days of verification time line

I was able to sell and disburse during the 60 day window. It is right after the 60 day window my listings went inactive and it said i had to complete verification to continue selling. But it appears they backtracked because less than a week later all the listings were reactivated and i can continue to sell and disburse payments. There had been tons of new threads on the seller forums about verification page not working and other issues so i guess they are giving people more time

Yes but the last date is June 27, 2023. After that every seller needs to be verified.

May be another 7 days on top of that technically..............and I do wonder if Amazon is really a hundred thousand sellers behind it might become very relaxed re checks in the same way I have read online how Ebay has been.

Re: Action required: Re-verify your Amazon seller account

One of my accounts also is past the 60 days, same thing it went inactive for few days and now it's back to selling..

Update on issue with not being logged into the primary user in order to re-verify:

Two of my stealth accounts were problematic because I had secondary users on them since I lost the authenticator app and didn't have access to the main user phone number from back when I bought them. I tried to re-verify but it kept giving me an error message saying I don't have the right to do so.

Tried calling Amazon support several times, verified primary email, name, address, phone number, explained I have no access to this old number, they said they literally cannot log into my account without the OTP that is sent to that number, and only have very limited view of my account and nothing they can do aside from sending a request for 2 step authentication removal procedure to my primary email address which requires upload of an ID.

Long story short, I couldn't figure out anything until I thought about calling the old number listed as the primary number. The person didn't pickup but I got voice mail. I left a vm message saying I would love to speak to them for couple minutes. Few minutes later I got a text message saying "what is this in regards to?"

I explained in a text that I feel terrible asking for this but I lost access to my amazon account and I used to own the number they have now back in the day and setup the account with that number and now there is no way to get back into my account without the 6 digit OTP that's being sent to that number. Didn't get any response for awhile, so I sent a picture of me holding my drivers license and said listen this isn't a scam, here is me and my license, I'm so sorry to bother you but all I need is the 6 digits so I can change the number to the new one in my account.

Eventually they responded and said listen, no problem, technology sucks we understand, here is your 6 digit OTP. Voila! I'm back into my primary user account.

Uploaded my own passport, new LLC I created with new EIN. Copy of a bank statement with my name, original account owner name, and LLC name listed under it.

Now we wait... :)

Are you saying because they are an American account specialist they aren’t trustworthy? It’s first and only time I’ve gotten American on the first tier of support.

regardless whether it's a white, black, yellow, pink customer support, none of them are to be trusted.

They'll say nice things, get off the phone then bam... you got hit after you became content of what they say.

NOT trustworthy.

The only plus to an American rep is they understand English.

Yes. The account was just showing person's name under business entity. I changed that to a LLC and under document number I put the LLCs EIN number. Let's see what happens..

I could do that but I thought that you lost any grandfathered rights approvals and even etc if you changed the name of the legal entity to a entirely new one (by new I mean not related)

Update:

Looks like I just passed the Re-Verification! Can't believe it. Basically changed everything on the account, Business address, Business entity, created a brand new LLC only active for a week, brand new EIN number, and used myself as point of contact (previously suspended) with just a copy of my passport, but with new address. The curious thing is that I have a very unique name, and it also asked for date of birth and country of birth and all that which I'm not sure if I had submitted 10 years ago when my account got suspended.

I received the usual response saying Thanks for creating amazon account, we have completed verifying your identity and etc.

However, now it's asking for a Bank Verification when I got to account health. Strange since I just sent them a bank statement while doing the re-verification that was successful.

So I just submitted same bank statement that they accepted during the re-verification of identity and just waiting to see if they accept it now. The good thing is that the screen showed two options to choose from
1. Bank Statement matching my personal name
2. Bank Statement matching the new LLC

And also few check boxes to be checked saying it matches the account number and etc.

Hopefully it all goes well and I have a fully legit account now.

Only bad thing is I just recalled 700 items from there since I was scared I might lose this account. FML lol

I am considering using my Wise account for reverification USA.

I am getting mixed messages re whether Wise can be used on Amazon.com to get disbursements and for verification.

Its not on the list of PSPPs but I have seen messages from Wise from May 2023 saying Wise can be used for disbursements and verification on Amazon.com USA

has anyone verified using Wise?

Me too. The address verification code isn’t suppose to to arrive until June 11th lol. I got in touch with Amazon’s internal team. They said I would just have to not make any sales until the code came in and said they’re sorry. I got the indication that there’s a big mess over there and they’re all sick of it.

Being asked to re-verify the phone and address only.
Is anyone actually receiving the cards in the mail?

I would need to secure another address for the account if they are. Anyone?

That should be easy for you to do.

Post cards? That's standard for USA accounts upon creation

Not a newly created account though.
3 years old, and Amazon asking for an address verification.

Re: Action required: Re-verify your Amazon seller account

SSN is not being requested in the verification correct? I’m not sure if I’ve provided that in the past and I’d like to use myself as the POC. I have an ID with an address never associated with another account. I’m hoping the only thing that could link me is my name and I imagine that’s not enough to be linked.

It appears some people are using their personal name even with a suspended past account and getting away with it. A strategy I'm considering. Although I'm guessing it's if you're suspended account from years ago never had your SSN or driver's license associated with it. And if you've moved since, it's basically just your name that is connected to the old account. And a lot of people can have the same name.

Re: Action required: Re-verify your Amazon seller account

First, I’ve looked at all of your posts because I have the exact same scenario…

I know you mentioned you successfully completed the reverification. Did you add your friends info to the account and then do the reverification? Or did you just reverify with their info?

Any recommendations for the whole process in general?

Interesting. I might have to try this approach too.

Like I said before my account was suspended 12 years ago. My stealth account just has a S Corp EIN and company name as the first and last name.

So on my account the point of contact is the name of the company and the EIN. But when you fill out point of contact in the reverification process, it asks for a human name. I don't actually have a real point of contact on my account. So I imagine I'll get rejected at first and probably have to prove a new point of contact is the owner.

Here is the email from AMZ

Thanks for creating a Selling on Amazon account! We have completed verifying your identity. As next steps, please log into your Seller Central account to activate your account and check if any further action is needed.

Thank you for choosing to sell on Amazon and we’re here to help you succeed every step of the way.

I think there are couple of points that AMZ checks.
1. Account seller performance
2. Bank statement matches the ID documents and AMZ's payment disbursement.

If you have a good seller performance and present a bank statement proves that AMZ payment disbursement flowing in that account. AMZ knows you are the person who actually running the account.
AMZ is not FBI nor IRS, they don't care if you used stealth info before, they just want to make sure the person who owns the account is actually the person running the business and get the money flows.
