Amazon Chargeback ( Non-Service )

Buyer started a chargeback on an item the day it was delivered.

I responded to the chargeback back then, and today I noticed it was closed.

Status was "granted" however on the right side it says "You are not responsible for this chargeback or its reimbursement.". So no funds were


After reading on sellercentral forums, it seems Amazon paid the buyer from their on pocket.

On the sellercentral forums, somebody mentioned that "Non-Service" are Unauthorized, Lost or Stolen. And "Service" are SNAD or INR. The latter apparently is on you, while the "Non-Service" types are on Amazon.


Thought I'd share, wasn't aware of this. Not quite sure how accurate this is thou.

So he did not do an A-to-Z claim but did cc chargeback? Odd yet interesting.

Amazon often refunds out of pocket when they cant decide a case it seems. at least 30% of my a-z claims are amazon funded.

If it says amazon funded clearly you are not responsible as stuff happens and amazon knows that.

Nothing odd about doing a straight chargeback.

I'm thinking unathorized use by child.

Still very surprised Amazon does that.
