Amazon Tax Info Needed

Hello, new to posting but I have been lurking for quite some time now.

I've done research on this but I can't seem to find the answer that I'm looking for.

I created an Amazon Stealth account successfully under a different name. I've sold some items, and now Amazon sent a notice requesting my tax information.

I applied for an EIN number under my name, my SSN, address, and entered it into the stealth account. The tax interview keeps giving me an error stating that the name on the amazon account doesn't match the name of the EIN.

What am I doing wrong here?

Your name and the stealth name don't match I would assume. so the check fails.

Did you apply for a sole proprieter ship EIN #? If you did, the reason its not matching is because they're verifying the name on the Amazon account with your name on file.

That won't work. You need an LLC with a unique LLC name.

Then get an EIN # for that LLC, so the business name on the Amazon account, matches the business name on file with the IRS
