I am surprised on the stance that the US took on cryptocurrency............I was expecting them to outright ban it..........because of its operable ability for money laundering.......the fact that the US just regulates it with KYC checks on exchanges I find this to be hilarious.......

I just want my first million. I know that this will get me there........so easy to make millions more after the first million.

when bitcoin hits 25k.....guaranteed that china will take notice and reverse the ban for bitcoin in the near future.........Once they see stability in crypto......they will reverse it and regulate it pretty heavily under a watchful eye......

I bet all the countries that banned cryptos will eventually loosen their grip on the ban...once they see stability...and make it more accessible.

to empire state: I was pretty uncertain the last few months because of all the regulation....taking place......so I was waiting for some answers and for the most part I got most of the answers I needed.....and I also had a good chunk of money tied in paypal........now all that money is available and ready to be invested.

I just keep wondering if I should put my 100k in crypto investments......or try to rent a retail location in oregon for power consumption of .04/kwh and buy like 50-60 bitmain antminer s9s and start mining and holding all the coins for 3 full years........

I'd do some more research before pullin the trigger on mining... You wouldnt break even on the S9's unless you held and BTC made really good gains because the S11 will be coming out soon. If your going to plan, plan for the 1st batch release of the S11.

Just like stealth you never want to keep all your eggs in one basket. Best thing to do is diversify. Buy some BTC and ETH, build a few GPU rigs, and pre-order some S11's.

But it all comes down to how much risk you want to take.

New Nvidia 11 series GPU's should be coming out soon too... And GPU prices are still really high. A 1070 Ti should go for around $480 so they are still over priced ATM.

I dont like to take too high of risk so if I want sh1t coins (which I don't) I'll mine them... If they cant be mined (use POW) I dont want them.

my strategy is hold and when deep dips come transfer holdings to tether...wait for dip to bottom out, then put money back into bitcoin, eth, and various other cryptos......watch for the bull run, rinse and repeat.....

double dip, triple dip.......get my cake and eat it too....

You might want to wait a few months after that... The next halving is estimated to occur in April or May of 2020. The block reward will be cut from 12.5 to 6.25 BTC.

It's a fact, written in code, that there will be half the amount of new BTC entering the market from miners to be sold, and you can almost guarantee there will be massive FOMO. What ever the price is 6 months before the halving, there's a good chance it will double by April of 2020.

The way I see it we have VISA for that... If I bought a $560 GPU today with BTC from Newegg, two years from now looking back it would have been like paying $1,800 and I'd be pissed. I'd rather use digital cash (VISA) which will be worth more today than it ever will in the future... plus its easy and fraud resistant.

I cant see anyway in my life time where BTC will be used exactly like fiat currency. Its too valuable and volatile with only 21 mil coins to ever exist. Anyone who isnt independently wealthy and bought something with BTC, unless it was when it was at ATH's, or they replaced it right away, should be regretting it right now.

But I have no problem holding 10k+ and not having to spend it. If it were a couple years ago... it wouldn't work for me.

Looking at the past can give you a good vision of the future.

Transaction times and cost are ok for me as long as they don't get any worse than they are right now.

The internet has made millionaires out of 18-21 year old people.

crypto is at the dialup/56k modem speed.....watch what happens 10-20 years from now.......

it will be a accepted payment method everywhere.........a fixed coin will be made.....and volatility wont be a problem anymore.....

we will figure out how to make it all happen with cryptocurrency.....

I read this article yesterday how a company in Singapore is making Bitcoin "notes". Its very interesting you should have a read (http://bitcoinist.com/singapore-bitc...knotes-tangem/)

If trial is successful this could push bitcoin to new highs very easily. Why? because you have the benefits of a decentralised currency, without all the confirmation/waiting time nonsense that goes with it.

How it works, you hand over the note to someone else, and they simply use a NFC device (phone etc.) to confirm its authentic.

It has some sort of Samsung chip inside, and isn't prone to manipulation. So quite safe to say the least.

This could be big in my opinion, as this is the only way I see mass adoption, especially amongst the older generation that aren't entwined with the inner working of crypto.

what I will probably do is amass a good fortune until the end of this year when market cap hits 1 trillion.

then start cryptocurrency mining in another state with low electricity business rates.....among my other businesses.

I find Warren buffett to be somewhat hilarious.......with his 80+ billion dollars and he doesnt seem to find the time to put atleast just 1 million into the crypto business........this is the same guy that wrote off both google and amazon in the beginning and now regrets his decisions. hes not a big better on technology....until late into the game when he sees its resilience. guy bets big on apple stock and make a lot of money, bets big on wells fargo to watch it burn to the ground.

for now, my holdings are in bitcoin, bitcoin cash, litecoin, and ethereum.

some ppl say that when bitcoin has all been fully mined that the price will go up....i don't think that will be the case.......people will just buy other digital currencies......the deflationary argument is bs. their has to be a competitive advantage of moving money through bitcoin that causes it to be vastly superior to other cryptocurrencies.......and honestly its not that vastly superior to the other 10 cryptocurrencies that do basically the exact same thing.


that is why bitcoin only dominates about 37% of the market share of cryptos......because its the most common coin, most traded on every exchange, and almost every crypto exchange has bitcoin exclusively.....

fundstrat company thinks that the consensus conference is going to follow with a huge rally in cryptocurrency like it did last year..........now i am starting to question my investments in cryptocurrencies.............conferences don't mean a damn thing.........its all about new developments.......to integrate this new piece of tech into society to get everyone to put money on it.......

maybe i should be like warren and say no for now....until i see many notable reputable companies and exchanges start to touch it................

its kind of odd all this news coming out about goldman sachs and new york stock exchange along with nasdaq ceo saying wall street will eventually integrate crypto into their financial system........yet prices dropped dramatically........

i bought in at the worst time......-_-....with that being said i am going to find my breakeven point and sell off my bitcoin and leave it in tether permanently........

my assessment is that the bitcoin bulls are incorrect in their year end evaluation of 25k for bitcoin....clearly because they have not factored in the regulation that is coming into play from around the world that is gripping many players from even wanting to invest in cryptocurrencies......its really causing a problem with the market cap for cryptocurrencies at the moment........RIP done playing crypto....


word of advice to everyone.......put all your holdings in tether for now until everything literally bottoms out.......japan just introduce new regs......sparking huge mass sell offs in the red double digits during asia/european hours.......

I have been monitoring this since $470 billion to $440 billion and now its going below 400 billion in market cap.....clearly its japans new regulations on crypto......

i can almost guarantee you guys that last year their was a lot of market manipulation in terms of the price spiking up like crazy..........then when government stepped in everything went down.......in south korea, japan, and usa

more news now on south korea on possible investigation in one of the biggest cryptocurrency exchanges...
