Probably as many as you want.. Shouldn't be different than in XP.

How many do you need? A while back someone said they had like 60, so you can have a lot. As long as your computer can handle it, it might make it a lot slower.

Ive had loads on vista, can't rememeber the number but it must have been around 50 or so- it did slow the computer down big time especially on start up.
Another thing, Vista user accounts are supposed to be less safe than XP ones. Not sure why that is, something to do with "stability" and files getting moved around or something. May be bollox, but i scared me enough to remove Vista and replace it with XP

oh, that reminds me about the slowing down aspect, how do you NOT transport all the icons and games etc from general main screen, all I want on user accounts is my browser but it seems to give me everything as default, will just deleting the icons work? agreed it slows dowm pc alot so too many users isnt a good thing

You don't Oompaloompa. I does come with all your other installed programs and no way around it. But we can't have it all, can we.. The only solution is to have mulitple computers, few for Ebay and one for your normal every day life /work on computer.

Is that definitely true? There's no way to create user accounts and control which files are created in them? It does waste loads of space with all those unused files

I make all of my user acconts administrators so they all have the same abilities. What is there to clear? Mine only copies like 10 desktop items to each user account.

Put those icons in a folder and leave your main screen allmost empty. I read somewhere that it makes things faster and I noticed it to. oompaloompa

You might as well delete and create a brand new user as needed instead of creating 10+ users. Haha.
