Lowest price shipping with tracking .

I did search a little before asking this . I bought a 1.49 item on ebay free shipping. it was sent with tracking So how can that be . The cheapest way i knew was usps 0-4 oz first class $2.64 with the eb discount.
So i asked the seller how is this possible , he said something about ups surepost or something like that , said its pretty much free and yes includes tracking ..

SOOOO.. anyone use this service for small items ? How does it work?

I like to save what i can . On a side note
I always thought i needed 2 forever stamps if letter was over 1 oz . Found out there is an extra oz stamp that can be bought for the extra ounces at only .21 cents ea . Small .30 savings i know but to me every penny counts

Without tracking FCM Flat/Large Envelope 1oz is $1, 2oz 1.21, 3oz 1.42, 4oz 1.63.

You can buy postage of any denomination at the automated machine at the post office.

Nobody is making any money selling for $1.49, I don't care what they're selling.

Shipping isn't free anywhere, I don't care what anyone says.

I have seen that AZ pays like some crazy rate that's like 20% or less of what we pay, though, still, that's not free.

PS Lightweight is cheapest but it's nearly inaccessible.

I've looked into surepost and smartpost numerous times over the years and I've never really seen any savings unless you're shipping 1-4lb packages.

i have alot of niches like that i dont get rich off selling one item but i do sell 300-1000 perday do actually making alot more on them with smaller % profits than some of my bigger profit items , so i am always looking for cheaper methods for shipping ..

Wife and son .. i sell it they pack it .. but it helps to just sit down and prepackage for hours . then all i got to do is slap a label on it and off it goes

I hear you on the volume, I've been in large volume small net businesses, but say you net $.50 on 300 packages, that's $150 a day clear ( if you don't pay the family, and labor has a cost of it's own, even if it's not paid).

I can net that on 10 packages and I don't need to slave-labor the family or print 300 labels or process 300 payments, buy and stuff 300 envelopes, etc.

well i do make more than that pushing 500 profit daily and lol not slave labor they get paid well for their time

I have a hard time not vomiting when i hear people selling 300 packages a day. I cant find an item to gain 30 feedback without selling it way under value.

My brother and I were recently approved to open a Postage One account. $0.10 - $0.14 difference than stamps or eBay USPS labels. Their priority rates are the ones that really make a difference. Another plus side is that we are billed monthly and have a scheduled driver pick-up from our location everyday at 4:00 Pm

Do you know if their commercial plus rates are any different than those offered by stamps.com to bulk shippers?

For example, FRE - $6.70 Post office rate, $6.55 Commercial base on stamps.com, $6.48 Commercial plus on stamps.com.

You're allowed to, but it's likely to cause a lot of problems with customers saying their stuff never arrived.

You used to have to ship with tracking to qualify for Top Rated, but not anymore. Now if you ship without tracking your buyer is asked when they leave feedback if their order arrived when eBay told them it would.

yes but many buyers dont bother leaving feedback so then what does ebay do?
do you end up getting late shipment defect?
