Yep, that's correct.

you of all people should know better. It's a percentage of your total sales. Not some arbitrary set number. 0.30% or less keeps you above standard/top rated

Re: Don't Fall Below Standard! Criminal fees!

I have 3 of 419 transactions closed without seller resolution. NOT 3 OF 419 CASES. BUT 3 OF 419 TRANSACTIONS.

That is the cause of my below standard rating.
I just looked into it...

Re: Don't Fall Below Standard! Criminal fees!

Any open case if a buyer contacts ebay support, ebay is more likely to lose that customer so ebay charges you severely for the "crime" you committed. They also have a new 4% fee implemented on very high return rate as well. Just to be aware of that.

SaiJin was saying "correct" to the previous poster asking about eBay intervening and deciding against a seller as being a strike against you as a seller. Pretty sure everyone here knows the metric, bruv.

The previous poster said

'correct me If I am wrong,if buyer opens a case and Ebay ends up having to intervene,it is one strike against you.
3 strikes will get you a lower rating? "

So why do you feel he was saying correct to the first half of the statement, but not the second half? It is two parts of one statement. The first one explaining the reason for the second one.

I thought you said you had over 1000 transactions? You're more than twice the " legal limit" for cases closed against seller.

Re: Don't Fall Below Standard! Criminal fees!

I was exaggerating to make a point. But those are the exact numbers. I didn't think it would be so harsh since I used to have this account Top Rated.
Working on it!

Re: Don't Fall Below Standard! Criminal fees!

Based on the numbers I disclosed, 3 of 419.. Does anyone here know the metrics to get back to Standard/ Above Standard?

Re: Don't Fall Below Standard! Criminal fees!

Keep selling / or don't.

Yer evaluated 3 months back every 20th of the month if you've completed 400+ transactions.

2 months back iirc if less than 400.

As long as you improve your seller defect % every month you'll get more time, and it will eventually go back to above.

Update:
On April 20th I will be Above Standard.
I will no longer incur the fees and I will get this account back to TopRated.
Thanks all for feedback + support.

I go to pay fees, Lo And Behold, eBay is charging an ADDITIONAL 4% ON FINAL VALUE FEES! Due to Being Below Standard!
Each transaction in small bold letters (additional 4% fee due to below standard)
Thats criminal!
Thats a lot! THAT IS AN ADDITIONAL 4% ON TOP OF THE NORMAL SELLER FEES!!

I can sustain a successful business model but how can I keep selling like this?
Advice my fellow bros and sis?
Thanks

Ebay is becoming deader and deader, when very little buyers leave you seller feedback then that means the place has become a ghosttown.

I have started selling on Ebid ( ebid.net ), in the UK final value fee is 2%, my products show up in Google and i'm starting to see an average of one sale every 2-3 days.

I sell books magazines computer games. Give Ebid a try as its fun to use and less seller competition. Their Ebay Ninja lister is much easier to use since they done an upgrade

Re: Don't Fall Below Standard! Criminal fees!

Less feedback left on AMZ. Like 3% do.

Ebay mobile app just shows percent positive on initial interface. Have to dig deeper to see actual number of feedback. Wonder if that was intentional...

I can't remember the last time I've paid attention to an amazon sellers feedback tho. So, yeah. Ebay seller feedback is glaring and in your face for anyone to see. Big difference.
