Default Why would payment still be held if buyer left positive FB?

I have recieved a few different payments from one buyer in the past two weeks.. one of the payments for ebay items were on the same invoice.

One payment was for around $150 the other was a total of $275 and that was for 3 items total on that one invoice. The buyer left positive for all items on ebay but Paypal is holding $60 from the $275 invoice for one item.

I thought positive feedback automatically lifts the hold, and why would they release some of it and not all?

strange

The holds I had on a new account all lifted within 24hrs of recieving + feedback but the difference I see in mine and your are that mine were all low cost items.

On another account I have created just a couple days after the one I'm speaking about sells same exact items and I am yet to ever have a 21-day hold on this acct.

I dont get how they pick/choose when and why to place holds

As strange & secretive as they seem to operate, I'd have no clue why they would only release your money partially either

sounds like a glitch, or simply a delay, if the amount relates to a specific item on the invoice...

or possibly a rolling reserve.

As usual, bit confused. (Need caffeine)
So one lot of transactions totalled $275 : did that break down to one item being $60? If so, could that 'item' be in dispute? A $60 rolling reserve is stupid for them to hold. The cursed reserves are higher than that in the instances I have found.

As for the release of funds being automatic on FB being received, that's not exactly the case. Some funds stay held for up to 24 hours or longer.
Seems that if there is something else going on that a seller may have no idea of, there is a delay.
Not trying to upset the apple cart, but I had a hold where FB was given but the buyer had a paypal problem with another seller that impacted on
my transaction. It's the game called paypal

Yes... total of three items on one invoice totaling $275.00, one item was $60, there is no dispute, the buyer left positive for all items...

Checked again this morning and only the $60 is still being held...

The positive feedback immediatley released the other money... its very strange
