Activity: 0% Longevity: 63% | | Buyers are becoming more ridiculous every day & EB cosigns...
My items come with extras and in many variations so I list that because they are specific. I also bought a retail display stand made by the mfg. for retail store. Not a useful thing to most others. So the inquirer asks if the display stand comes with it? Man... WTF do you want the camera and the lights I took the pic with too? Maybe the printer I use to print shipping label. Mercy, mercy I have all the other 5-8 extras carefully descripted & listed. What type of moron would ask if the $100 retail stand comes with the $120 item. Sorry peeps I can't snap on the future (hope not) buyer. I really should block him because I see a future problem. Hope everybody has a prosperous sselling weekend.

Seems like a very good candidate for a blocking.

If someone asks a ridiculous question regarding one of my items, they get no response and free entrance to my 'block bidder' section - reserved for only the VIPs ;-).
If they buyer is going to be problem prior to the transaction, imagine how difficult they will be after they bought the item and you have to fulfill the sale?
Best to cut ties and move on by blocking them.

True, true some customers are not worth the "profit". Just block and move on (i.e. also monitor your bids).

I bet he could open a case claiming he never received the stand and ebay would side with him.

Last night I send bidder 2nd chance offer and he starts asking why the other buyer didn't buy. Yah de yah da. I tell him I had more available just didn't list. So he asks what's different, can he get pictures. (there are 6 in the orig. listing) I just say, "shoo". You blocked baby! Glad you didn't win. It has been proven to me countless times that buyers that start asking ridiculous questions will ALWAYS come back me wishing I never sold to them.

I was just about to come post a rant myself. I had an auction finish at over $100 with 30+ bids and over 10 different bidders. The buyer that won sent me a message immediately after the auction ended and said "I will give you $65 for it".
I told her that she won it for over $100 (still a low price for this kind of item) and outbid over 10 other people. After that, she answered that she didn't have that much money and that she wouldn't buy it. No more answers from her since.
What the...? She's not the first person that won an item from me that way this year and then offers to buy it at a lower price or nothing. Some people seem to think that by winning the auction, they win the right to name the price.

Have this happen every now and again when I do sell something for a high price.
Sold a car last year for £5600, had the buyer turn up and offer me £4000. Poor guy was kindly told to leave my house in a not so delicate fashion.
I have also recently been having people that have won auctions for £10 offering me £8. Cheeky sods.

I tend to do more BIN with immediate payment to reduce idiocy.
Got feed up with those questions |

Got feed up with those questions | I do BIN with immediate payment often, but I still sometimes get people messaging me saying they want to buy it now, but pay for it in a few days All these customers are fit for

EB should actually suspend a buyer for doing that or at least the same consequence as a schill bid.

Or just offer it to him for extra money?
I'm not a big fan of the jaded sellers who think everyone is out to scam them. I can understand where you're coming from, but don't you think it would be better to look at this as a sales opportunity and sell the buyer more of your stuff?

As for imjustme's post...hah yes the buyers who win and then think they can haggle down...the end price is what it is and they stupidly think that it can be lowered. Idiocy - and not being able to pay for it too...hope that buyer gets canned

Damn reality TV shows screwed that up. No dignity left. Used to be you maybe on a bad sale deal would insult anyone with more than 30% request for discount. Now they want 60% and more like I steal the stuff, really no dignity what so ever.
