Default making 20 accounts just for feedback

does anyone think making 20 buyer accounts to give your seller accounts feedback a good idea? im thinking of making about 10 seller accounts and listing 20 items on each account and then buying one item from each account.. my only worry is that it could link them all together.. but what are the chances of them linking? would ebay go look at my feedback randomly? thanks guys

it might work but its not a good idea....easier to get feedback by selling and buying cheap items...if its a stealth address, make sure its not an actual real one that someone might live at - tell the seller not to put your ID or invoice slip in the parcel, then who cares if some confused person gets a 99p item or it gets returned to sender.... they will just think its an postal or address error

I agree with you oompaloompa but a greater concern is to have DSRs rather than normal feedback scores.
What would be the best practice to get 20 DSRs the soonest possible.
I tried by creating 20 feedback acccounts and then leaving feedbacks from them but though they all are stealth accounts still they get linked .
Is there a better idea to do that?

that is what i meant.. i need the 20 dsr to remove the paypal holds etc.. so the 20 feedback account theory does not work then? do you know how they all got linked? thanks

surely it's easier to knock out some cheap items... just buy a bulk lot of something and split it.

so you are going to be a new seller with 20 feedback from 20 newly created buyer accounts....

yes.... all accounts would likely get suspended for feedback manipulation.

definitly ,all can get suspended for feedback manipulation or
all can trigger a common suspension which can be resolved by providing ids and proof of address but unfortunately all 20 would require so.

The reason for suspension is pretty obvious as there are a lot of similarities amongst these acccounts ,like similar sort of time in registering ,similar time in leaving feedback ,all are 0 feedback rated buyers ,and all wouldnt have paid and just left feedback.

I believe if the feedback leaver accounts are older than 6 months ,and have high number of feedback and leave feedbacks at different timings and using different ISP hosts ,then your case would be strong and its less likely to be suspended BUT again you see ,ebay will achieve what it wants to ,as its not an easy thing to do.
This is one of the most frustrating things to get over with.
I am still looking for a convenienet solution.

Hey guyz ,have you tried using a 6 month old ebay id with 100+ feedback and haven't got any Paypal holds ??
I WANT To try that ,as I think that would be much easier than this DSR thingy.

Why not just sell what you intend to sell and get your dsr the natural way the hold will be released for each item when you recieve feedback.

ffs, I forgot to start the competition 'Dumbass threads of 2009'.

All the effort, energy you put into making the accounts could go to selling items on your good account(s) to fix the dsrs. From your other posts you have a few problems with matters, so wtf do you think this scheme will work?
It is called Feedback Manipulation. ebay hates it. I hate it when users suggest it because it implies a great lack of thinking power. Take a step back ('cos I still love ya) but just hate ideas that are going to cause GRIEF. Follow jbuntz's advice, read the other threads in this sub-forum. Make a workable plan, not a daft plan

Yup, your best bet is just look around for some cheapy items you can buy like 100 of them for $100 and sell them individually. Luckily i found something I can sell individually and set make a profit. Get your 20-30 DSRs and then move on to another account.

Same as others have stated.

I agree with the other posters.

Its best to buy and sell some cheap items to get your feedback and DSRs up.

I used to sell in very low volume collectables so that one spiteful buyer could trash my DSRs. Then I started selling vintage postcards, photos and bits of other printed ephemera at $2 and $3 a pop with freepost. Not everyone leaves feedback but it certainly helped me build up my volume of 5 star fb. I sell dozens of these things and the items can just be stuffed quickly into a card mailer.

Just make sure whatever you are selling is a real physical object (no wallpaper or recipe downloads or e-books). You can also buy cheap/ish things you need for the house to boost your buying accounts. Packaging supplies (pens, sellotape, etc) is always a good buy and never wasted.

It's risky but if you've got 100 accounts then you shouldn't have a problem, that's the only way I do it now but only because I have plenty of backups. I've got 10 seller accounts and 20 buyer accounts with no cc or anything and I buy over 20 ebooks from each of my 10 accounts and mark payment recieved. I'm also able to give the 20 buyer accounts 10 feedback before they even have a credit card. I like to buy and sell between my accounts so I can keep track of my other accounts in the feedback section. Of course thats not recomended for new sellers with few accounts to rely on.

i have noticed that there are lots of people who only buy cheap items and leave sellers 5 star feedback to get their feedback up in return, i would assume they are powersellers keeping feedback up in their spare accounts

a mate of mine works for a guy, all he does is buy and sell small volume items on ebay to his own accounts, (over 100) gets the feedback on all up in very little time. Surprisingly none are ever linked!

Getting too much fb too quickly for buying ebooks, recipes and wallpaper etc is a good way to get a new account suspended! Then all the trouble and effort you put into it is gone.

You can get off with buying a few ebooks etc cautiously but best to mix it in with real physical product things. I bought pens, batteries, sellotape, hairpins, craft items etc all small things I need. I got 4 new iDs up and running pretty quickly and all the fb is from different genuine sellers.

Interesting when I look back at these accounts the ones that sold me ebooks and wallpaper are mostly now NARU while the peeps selling cheap craft supplies, etc are still going strong.

Another thing to consider is that eBay is full of snitches and righteous do gooders. If someone happens to notice your account had odd looking fb and has nothing better to do then you bet they will blow you up to eBay. Although eBay is making it harder and harder to find the formfill to report infringements.

@jakesh, Dust of a boy cow. No-one in their right mind should risk such an account.
You were going thro' this last time you posted. Have you not done anything to improve in a year?

Feedback manipulation is dangerous.
What sort of mess are you in? What are the DSR's
Change the items you sell and try giving good customer service.
