eBay Publishes Keynotes from Recent Developer's Conference eBay launched a website featuring material from its recent Developer's Conference held last month in San Jose. The page features video of the Keynote sessions, slides from presenters, photos, and video interviews. The first day's video includes the Star Developer Award winners; Max Mancini discussing the eBay platform update; CEO John Donahoe on eBay Inc.'s strategy; VP/CTO Mark Carges on eBay's technology strategy; John Hagel speaking on "Shaping Strategy in a World of Constant Disruption"; and a live demo of Selling Manager Applications.
The second day's video includes the Keynote panel of Silicon Valley venture capitalists and Lorrie Norrington's "State of the eBay Marketplace" address. (Note that we experienced some problems viewing the videos on Thursday morning.)
The slide presentations from the developer's conference sessions are also available by visiting the Schedule section and clicking on individual sessions. Note that the slides come up in a PDF file format.
According to eBay, there are 92,000 members of the eBay Developer's program and 13,000 live applications with 8 billion API calls per month. Link to eBay Developers Conference website Link to AuctionBytes write-up of the conference |
