| PinchHarmonic | 03-05-2008 05:45 PM | No one buys the 1 cent auctions here?
Most of the time the buyer / seller just leaves u feedback without the money being passed. The FVF on 1 cent is probably nothing anyway.
Am I missing something here? |
| twdell | 03-05-2008 06:49 PM | ebay is on to that, and if you do multiple auctions then you will be suspended. |
| ebayhateluv | 03-05-2008 07:47 PM | HI:
You can still use a gift card to pay for auctions, go through like youre gonna use pp, then on the left, chose the cc option, fil it in with the gift card, and off it goes,,no pp needed..did it last week, |
| sonnydonut | 03-12-2008 09:25 AM | are there still penny auctions? i know ebay made some changes to that, but are there any loopholes in listing and buying penny auctions? |
| Ballsack | 03-12-2008 04:16 PM | Of course there are penny auctions. |
| ivegotinfo | 03-12-2008 07:16 PM | yeah but buy too many and you go bye bye |
| thelizardking | 03-12-2008 10:02 PM | I buy stuff around $5-$10 then resell if I don't want it...sometimes DVD's then burn them and resell...most of the time I get an extra $3-$5 after its all said and done |
| anthonychan | 03-14-2008 10:15 AM | I waited 30 days so no suspiscions arose, I then purchased $1 items until I reached 10 feedbacks. |
| GreenBean | 03-14-2008 05:30 PM | Innovation is surely the way to go with feedback. |

I have never seem it where you can choose to pay with CC or am I just blind? |
| ebayhateluv | 03-24-2008 10:19 PM | HI: I can get a screen shot, but not sure how to shrink it..let me work on it,, |
| ebayhateluv | 03-24-2008 10:28 PM | |
| becca073 | 03-24-2008 10:43 PM | Are you using the new version of eBay that they are testing? Because I never get a screen like that and maybe cause I "opt" out to try their "new" improved site. Could that be why I don't see that? |
| Jonas | 03-24-2008 10:58 PM | I always opt out. I hate their new version. But I think lots of buyers use it so ebay can direct all customers to their favorite sellers. |
| twdell | 03-25-2008 08:24 AM | that new version of ebay is aweful. |
| becca073 | 03-25-2008 01:02 PM | Well I'm not trying to buy feedback. I just wanted to know how you can pay with your cc and not have to have the PayPal account linked. |
| twdell | 03-25-2008 01:56 PM | the new version just seems harder to search by category, and it's harder to see what has been bid on when i'm doing research. |
| Slavaja | 04-01-2008 04:38 AM | I violated "feedback manipulation" policy. Don't want to get suspended ok say if i buy 4 items from the one seller and we both leave 4 positve feedback does it count as 1 feedback since you brought the item from the seller at the same time or does it counts as 4 feedback?? |
| jollybee | 04-01-2008 08:20 AM | Hi, I just experienced this.
Bought 3 dog beds on 3 different invoices from the same seller. I left him 3 individual feedbacks and he did the same for me. They feedback however only counted as 1 feedback transaction and rating.
Hope that helps. |
| Slavaja | 04-01-2008 09:35 AM | ok but did u buy 3 dog beds which are the same dog beds or did you buy 3 different dog beds? |
| jollybee | 04-01-2008 09:58 PM | I bought 3 different models (styles), 3 different colors, and they were all 3 different prices.
I think I read that this was part of the new feedback policy ebay implemented early--not like the no neg's to buyers, etc., but just one of those new "revalations" some brainyak at ebay came up with.
I think they are trying to stop those people who buy small items such as Dvd's, ebooks, low priced items in individual actions but from the same seller from trying to easily build that feedback so fast. |
| Throb-n-Rod | 04-02-2008 12:40 AM | on the fb changes cant you still leave neg for net until july? |
| maizen | 05-05-2008 10:11 PM | I violated "feedback manipulation" policy. Don't want to get suspended Basically I wanted to open a second account that I would use purely for buying. I currently have a good and working order seller account.
I though it would be wise to build up some 10-20 feedbacks so I could bid from some auctions. So i figured I would buy 20-30 of the cheap <0.05 items. Well so far I got 25 feedback but I checked eBays policied and I for sure violated the "feedback manipulation" one.
Now what can I do so my other good seller account doesn't get suspended? If I close my "feedback building" new account completely will I be safe? And then in the future make another account and this time buy actual $2-3 items?
Please help. |
| jscan | 05-06-2008 06:58 AM | As you will learn from this forum you shot yourself in the foot by buying those 0.25 cent auctions.
The main things you need to worry about are if both your accs were registered with the same info, IP address, names etc because if so the seller acc will eventually be suspended.
take a look around the forum more and you will get a greater understanding |
| maizen | 05-06-2008 08:27 AM | My accounts weren't suspended, YET.
I want to find the best way to prevent that from happening. I never sold on the new account. So can I close that account to avoid any suspision? |
| scouse12345 | 05-06-2008 08:35 AM | It'll already be linked in some way to your original account, especially if the info used was the same.. if you just wanted an account for buying, there was no reason to rush to a 25+ feedback rating, as for breaking there rules, if your being truthfull, and don't want this account for "selling", i would think it has a more than healthy chance of staying up, and therefore your original account as well..
Don't freak and try predicting the future, it aint happend so don't lose sleep.. |
| maizen | 05-06-2008 08:38 AM | So you mean if I only used that account for buying I am safe?
I already closed that account but it says it might take up to 180 days to permantenly close it for some reason. I never sold any item on that account. |
| imjustme | 05-06-2008 08:42 AM | If they're not suspended yet, stop buying feedback NOW. I used accounts I bought feedback with in the past with no problems. Just don't buy any more. |
| jscan | 05-06-2008 09:51 PM | i also did the same as IJM with a pre 11/07 acc, didnt effect it, you may be lucky .. |
| maizen | 05-06-2008 10:53 PM | Whats the difference between pre and after 11/07. The feedback building account was a newly created one. |
| GreenBean | 05-06-2008 10:58 PM | An account created prior to 11/20/2007 especially in the USA does not need to accept
paypal. Therefore such accounts are regarded most favorably. |
| maizen | 05-06-2008 11:19 PM | I don't reside in USA, I reside in Canada.
It didn't ask for Paypal I instead paid with my current paypal account for my $0.01 orders. |
| jscan | 05-07-2008 01:19 AM | Pre 11/07 accts are also valuable if your selling VERO items, they seem to come under less scrutiny newer accs |
| gotgameplan | 05-07-2008 11:34 AM | On the pre 11/07 accounts are you require to accept Merchant payment or could you just accept Checks and Money Orders only , then send a bill via Merchant account thanks. |
| jscan | 05-08-2008 03:09 AM | depends what country, refer to the forum.
In Australia current pre 11.07 accs can accept any form of payment, not requiring paypal,
however new rules comming into place may21 will require all australian ebay accounts to just accept paypal or COD. which means no money order, EFT etc |
| luxixi | 05-25-2008 08:15 PM | dont post link,that is really dangous.
You can set up a acution, and post your itme number here. of course,it is better if you do have the item .when it finish, you can sent 2nd offer to everyone who are from this forum.
also "buyer" should mark as payment sent later. but don't do it too quick. My friend and I have tried few times, no problem at all. |
| mwargin | 05-25-2008 08:56 PM | Sounds good to me! I'm all for it!!! |
| twdell | 05-26-2008 07:56 AM | letting everyone know my ebay name and type of product i sell is my only concern. i wouldn't want tebay to peek into this forum, and bust me, or have a member like chris hanson trying to get even with another member. they could bid on your item, and leave all negs, or worse yet turn you in to ebay.
i know that's kind of a worse case scenerio, but it could happen. |
| tvaughan08 | 05-26-2008 08:42 AM | I second the motion..lol, its a good idea actually. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 06:01 PM. | |
