| | | mantisinc | 03-04-2008 01:02 PM | Do a forum search, loads of info on this.
Lacoste have been removing your listings? Last time I was selling lacoste didn't have any issues at all. |
| ebayhateluv | 03-04-2008 01:51 PM | Tommy...
Just an FYI... Aspkins not real crazy about us joining in , in regards to attempt to do "no good"... BUT, if your items are GENUINE.. then, on the main page, theres a section for Ebay Vero, as well as you can search, upper right hand corner, drop down box, Search for vero..
Best of luck :)) |
| Killed by Ebay | 03-04-2008 04:14 PM | PM me, maybe i can help |
| myIonU | 03-12-2008 12:11 AM | VERO brand name list? hi
May I suggest a VERO brand name list?
So we can avoid selling them in the first place to avoid suspension. |
| GreenBean | 03-12-2008 02:56 AM | This does sound good except there is a lot about vero that anyone thinking of selling should know. |
| ebayhateluv | 03-12-2008 03:44 AM | HI:
Just an interjection.. theres over 300 vero members, and then some do not even list their names...
How would we post a list?
--Wouldnt people be able to tell... Nabisco, Disney, Nike, CBS, Trump...??
--Anything that requires a Franchise/ LIcense, to sell/Market, if youve heard of it... its prob Vero...
---The HIGH Risk ones, of course, Rolex, Tiffany, prob the # 2..
then u have subs, like Bose, Chanel, etc.... |
| sonnydonut | 03-12-2008 09:12 AM | china sells a lot of ed hardy and christian audigier, however, you should stay away from selling these two brands on ebay. The powersellers on ebay selling these brands are a$$holes. I got my account suspended because the powersellers turned me in. |
| myIonU | 03-12-2008 09:53 AM | any VERO on electronic items? |
| mantisinc | 03-12-2008 12:09 PM | There are thousands of products protected by IP rights, so a list would be endless. AAnyone that has IP rights over an item can get items removed from ebay. |
| ivegotinfo | 03-12-2008 02:05 PM | every brand name is vero, and every brand name you sell is a risk you are taking. |
| TotallyDisgusted | 03-17-2008 06:22 AM | Listing & VeRO...Interesting Was originally suspended for VeRO & had a few more accounts pulled-down for same item.
Desperately trying to get rid of stock (thank God only 6 items left)...I noticed something interesting when listing. My pics. always looked slick & listings were nicely done...looked like I have been around the block a few times, if you know what I mean.
Well...new account has been up only a few days with only 2 listings. The pic. of the item is literally hanging from a door-knob with door showing in background (nothing slick looking to say the least) and actually verbiage in listing is very amateur-like.
Not counting chickens before they hatch but these 2 listings have not been pulled yet. Admit there aren't tons of bidders on them...only have 2 watchers.
Just wanted to share & found it interesting that it seems that if merchandise was pulled from your closet & listing isn't so slick looking, nothing has been "zapped" from Ebay....yet.
On that note, can Ebay see the path from where you upload your pics? If I am uploading directly from my HD to them, do they see that? |
| ebayhateluv | 03-17-2008 06:51 AM | HI:
Alot of us, use Auctiva..free Pic hosting |
| TotallyDisgusted | 03-17-2008 07:17 AM | Never used Auctiva...still wondering if Ebay can see path from where you are uploading pics. I usually upload directly from a folder on my HD...can they see the name of the path to pic? |
| dollybaby | 03-17-2008 07:57 AM | my search box is at the bottom right hand corner, just thought id say as it took me ages to find it. |
| ebayhateluv | 03-17-2008 09:01 AM | HI:
NOt certain, I know the technical part of that question??
--BUT, what I do.. I always change my pc name, in my computer /properties..
--Then, i actually copy that folder to another place on my hd, and rename the files...
i.e. instead of being bowl1, bowl2, --all in the folder bowl..
(the path is normally something like c:/mydocs and settings/pictures--??
anyhow, its now, c:/bowls
BUT... maybe u dont have to do all of this?? I do it, cause I dont know any better, just being safe.. :)) |
| TotallyDisgusted | 03-17-2008 09:42 AM | I understand what you are saying about changing the name of folder, renaming files/pics and moving to another area on hd...good idea to play it safe...BUT...still would like to know if Ebay has a way to see the path of a particular pic. that you are uploading. Maybe a techie person can answer. |
| aspkin | 03-19-2008 05:28 PM | They can't see the path... they don't see anything. Trust me on that. If they're hosting the file/image you're fine. That's what's recommended.
If you're hosting off a website of yours, like if I were to host off aspkin.com/images/astadf.jpg
aspkin.com is already black listed in eBay and I would be found out and suspended in no time.
I wrote something about this with my original few guides. |
| TotallyDisgusted | 03-19-2008 07:44 PM | They can't see the path... they don't see anything. Trust me on that. If they're hosting the file/image you're fine. That's what's recommended.
Thank-you. Kept running it thru my head & couldn't figure how they could possibly see path but just wanted to make sure. |
| jscan | 03-21-2008 07:58 PM | I sell designer items also and have found that when you list
items "amateur" like them have a less chance of being pulled. Crappy photos,
small listing, it just means you usually dont end up with a good price because
your listing is crap. |
| jscan | 03-21-2008 09:28 PM | ive never had a problem with selling lacoste either, caps, polos |
| ebayhateluv | 03-21-2008 11:54 PM | Theres an updated list of what Categories Paypal is watching in the New Ebay Quarterly power up magazine...IPODs are on it.. (FYI) |
| jscan | 04-06-2008 04:31 AM | Glad i stopped selling ipods long ago |
| prouser | 04-12-2008 07:18 PM | writinga vero violation letter hi, im new here, so please bear with me:)
I know someone who is selling a software that is not his. I've contact ebay, for vero violation, but they replied that "what im saying is not clear".
does any one know is how to write a vero violation letter.
that it
looking forward to reply |
| jollybee | 04-12-2008 07:39 PM | Hi--I'm by no means an expert on this, but I am an avid forum reader. If this were me, I would not draw unnecessary attention to myself. I have a suspicion that when you "report" someone/something that is exactly the position you put yourself in..unless of course you may be a powerseller--and even then(?)
The way I would look at this....I wouldn't!!! I would leave this alone. Sometimes I think they may view it as you are their "competition" ratting on them so you can take the sale. I think it may backfire and put the attention on yourself, rather than who it was intended for.. Just my Opinion of course.
Trying to ingest the "right" ways to make alternative accounts is time consuming and requires a full time thought process...that's what I would dedicate my time to. |
| prouser | 04-12-2008 08:16 PM | im not using my real ebay acount but another handy one with different ip address. so i have nothing to worry about.
so if you know how to write a vero violation letter, please let me, and I would really appreciated it.
is there a right way to write one? doesn't ebay usually suspend someone as soon as possible if they have a complain about them? just my thought!
its always a pleasure reading the posts here.
take care |
| wicked | 04-14-2008 09:12 PM | Help??ANYONE? Selling NON VERO Hello EVERYONE Thank you for all the amazing people willing to help one another , thats amazing.
Time is money and definitely everybody has put a lot of your time into helping others. I just have a couple questions...
I have been selling VERO items on my account such as NAME BRAND KEY CHAINS... but i have been suspended but thank you to EBAY STEALTH i have created another account NOW im back up and running.
The issue is i DONT want to continue selling VERO because with VERO comes getting shut down sooner or later EBay has helped me FUND my education and i want to continue with it although DO NOT WANT to sell VERO items does ANYONE have any suggestions. I am a member of ONE SOURCE which helps me find suppliers but i have yet to find ONE good product to sell and make some decent profit...Thank you ALL for your help look forward to hearing from you.....Please PM me if you have any suggestions Thank YOU EVEYONE |
I sell non-vero, but used to sell Vero. I actually make more money now! Just browse around ebay and see what people are selling or under the $10 range as BIN. You will be surprised at how much they sell. Then FORGET One Source... everyone is selling from them. Look to CHINA!! |
| jscan | 04-15-2008 05:04 AM | I sell VERO items, but i also sell a mixture of other things like anime collectible figures some art supplies etc. |
| ebayhateluv | 04-15-2008 08:03 AM | HI: You need to stay away form their "HOT" Categories, seems Wii, Electronics, Ipod, etc..
So- why not choose a Category that you have knowledge in,
that you are Comfortable selling in--maybe one of your hobbies?
i.e. Coin Collecting-you maybe could sell coin supplies--and stay off the hot seat
Then, run a search and see how dominant that category is.. |
| imjustme | 04-21-2008 07:36 AM | Suspended for VERO with authentic items, while the true VERO's stay up.. I'm out of words with eBay the past few days. I have one item where I sell authentic ones on one account and VERO on the other account. Same item, just a different price, obviously.
For the 2nd time in 3 weeks, the account where I list the authentic item (with the original sales bill and barcode), gets suspended, while the account that lists the VERO item, without the sales bill and barcode, stays up without problems.
I even use the same descriptions on both accounts.
:D:confused::rolleyes: |
| GreenBean | 04-21-2008 07:42 AM | imjustme, no wonder you are going bald and your hair stands on end! How
does a seller work around that? ebay have done it again. Are you going to
fight them? Or move on?:( Geez, that is sad news for you. |
| jscan | 04-21-2008 07:55 AM | he also had the erection problems remember in his other post. your just a victim of ebays mood swings. |
| imjustme | 04-21-2008 08:02 AM | Suspensions don't give me erection problems anymore. It's like the opposite now. They turn me on.
Seriously, the account is suspended for 7 days. I'm just moving to one of my 20+ backup accounts, no biggie. It's just strange that they would remove the authentic items but not the true VERO ones. Obviously if they saw the one listing, they also saw the other. It was listed within 30 minutes of eachother and with the same title. |
| GreenBean | 04-21-2008 08:07 AM | yeah. I think I mentioned to someone that with the ebay logathinggies, you have to factor in that they are not a constant. |
| ebayaintstupid | 04-21-2008 08:16 AM | Algorithms... Algorithms. ;) |
| GreenBean | 04-21-2008 08:24 AM | aww, gee, thanks thinggiestupid! :D Could you change ur ID please? 'Cos when I answer ur posts I do not want to call you ....stupid.;) That's not friendly. ROFL. Yes, yes, it is time for the happy pills. |
| TotallyDisgusted | 04-21-2008 09:05 AM | Recently, had something similar happen to me. Have 2 ac's on EB...both have same exact items listed...same description w/different pics. One account gets hit w/trademark violation 7-day suspension and the other account is selling w/no problems. Letting go of the account w/7-suspension...not worth the trouble of faxing in documents with only 8 fb on that account. Also, they can hold their breath for seller's fees on that one :) |
| imjustme | 04-21-2008 09:19 AM | I don't think its algorithms that got me. The suspension email said clearly it was because the trademark holder (which they mentioned by name, so it wasn't automated) complained.
Guess I'm only selling VERO's now if eBay prefers that. |
| 411guru | 04-21-2008 11:24 AM | I'm telling you guys, its competition reporting you. Or it could be the big company that makes the real stuff. I was once selling a google clone script, which basically for those who don't know, is a copy of googles website code. My listings got pulled because ebay said google turned me in. Funny, you'd never think a giant company like google would browse ebay. |
| mantisinc | 04-21-2008 12:04 PM | I expect Google have employed people for every position possible :)
They probably took someone on just to check your username every few minutes :D | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 05:32 PM. | |
