I do not think that using Paypal on a new account is an automatic suspension due to linking. Last time I started selling on a 0 fb account was in December 2007. I used the same old Paypal account that I always used on all suspended and active eBay ID's and had absolutely no problems. Until this week, I had 4 actively selling eBay accounts, including 3 Powersellers with 2K+ FB, all using the same Paypal account, and never had a problem with this.
The surprise, however, came when I got too many violations on one of my powersellers and someone in T&S, obviously, personally reviewed that account in all depth. That day I got suspension emails for about 15 accounts, all my accounts that ever used Paypal to accept a payment. My other selling account that were seating in reserve and never used Paypal stayed intact.
Interestingly enough, they sent suspension emails even to those eBay ID's that have been shut down for "abusing", which showed that they linked those accounts only now when they looked into my Paypal account's list of used email addresses. Therefore, I'm pretty much confident that no significant changes have been made in Paypal security system in July. However, I would very much like to know what causes an eBay rep look into an eBay seller's Paypal account. In October I had a situation just like this, I got a several month old account with a few hundreds of feedback suspended for violations, however, no other accounts went down that time, so nobody in eBay looked into my Paypal account back then. It looks to me the only difference was that the October account was not a Powerseller (eBay folks with great sense of humor sent me an invitation to PS program the next day they shut down the account). So the question is what causes an eBay T&S rep look deep into Paypal account? Anyone else had a situation like this?
