I use Cable Internet for my main account and dial up for the others. I just read all that is posts in this forum and try things until I find out what works and what does not. To be honest, my accounts will not last as long as others because of the type of items I place on eBay. So far I do use 5 accounts for selling and slowly building up others. If there is a question you would like answered, post it in the forum and someone should have an answer for you. To sum it up, having multiple accounts is a lot more work than having only account.
when you "slowly building up others",will you buy some items to get feedbacks or just wait for serveral months before start to sell?

I cannot follow instructions and keep quoting the post directly above my response.

Depends on the type of products you sell. Use your own judgement

I did start buying useless ebooks but after trying different things, like eBaykilla say, I started selling slowly and this works for me. I do buy things that I normally use to also build up my rating. I will always ask the seller if he can ship the item out to a different address before committing to the item. Most will ship wherever you want them to. I just say its for a gift. Some sellers will only ship to verified addresses.

Default Question about Auctiva checkout

I did some search on this forum, but I'm still not sure.
I have several auctiva accounts with their ebay accounts.

Question 1:
I prefer paypal. When I list via auctiva, if I choose the payment method as PAYPAL, does ebay know the paypal email address or just auctiva stores the email address? If ebay knows the PP EMAIL ADDRESS, I think the account will be suspended.
The way I'm doing now is I send the invoice to the customer via paypal after bidding is over. it is hard work and I have to log in to paypal every time bidding is over.

Question 2:
If I register on Authorize.Net, Can I use one Authorize.Net account in all my auctiva accounts? If I can then is it safe?
Thanks for your time.

I very much recommend you sign up for Merchant Plus, and use this (which Authorize.Net is included) with Auctivia. Get as far away from Paypal as you can. And don't worry about people not liking Merchant Plus; their gateway is more flexible and easier to use then Paypal. Lots of users are already using 3rd party merchant accounts like Merchant Plus. If you use Paypal, you will be linked.

Or just wait until my Paypal linking guide is out. Should be a 2-3 days.

It's best not to use Paypal at all.

Do you have any guides on using paypal? They'res no option for new sellers any more, you have to use a pp account to sell. It's just awful!

Default auctiva

I signed up for an auctiva account. What is the benefit to this besides the listing program that is not turbo lister. I noticed that they will process your Paypal payments is this beneficial to a banned ebay user?

Does Auctiva share its IP addresses with Paypal?

What clean computer methods should I use for Auctiva?

Thank you

HI- I use Auctiva exclusively.
Well, for me:
a.)Auctiva does not share info with ebay
b.) Auctiva does not require an ebay login to list- once that initial token is generated
c.) Auctiva will host all of your images for FREE
d.) Auctiva has a much better combination of templates, and the Seasonal ones are great!
d.) Auctiva allows a very fast relist- i.e. you can set up Profiles for your shipping costs/ your payment costs, ect.
e.) When ebay temporarily takes the acct down- to verify phone, you can be back up and running in 5 minutes after the phone call.
f.) Auctiva allows a scrolling gallery , which looks very professional to the customers
g.) Auctva generates an Extra Large image by the consumer clicking on make large
h.) Auctiva offers a $6.95/ year (YEAR) fee to make a store with them, and for example, when I type in my domaine name- (which is not set up as a website yet)-- it takes you to the auctiva store--neat..
i.) Auctiva is responsive to emails, from what I've seen
j.) There is a way to integrate Authorize.net.. to accept your merchant acct pyts.
k.) Auctiva sends an automatic checkout email to your customers at the end of auction
l.) The Consumers seem to trust Auctiva..
I believe overall, it makes you appear a more Professional Seller..

when you do help ticket, auctiva actually writes the email and rarely does form letter unless the form letter 100% applies and answers it fully.

Oh and in checkout buyers will go to checkout and they'll be options:

*Paypal
*Credit card Visa/Mastercard/etc
*Money order/check

Sometimes these are disabled and you only see one of them like Visa/Mastercard/discover. If you accept paypal they can click paypal and force you a paypal payment to an email address with no paypal account and be all "I'm done!".

Boy howdy is my mind starting to get confused with all of the options....

It sounds like Auctiva using Authorize.net is the way to go. But am I correct in thinking that I also need to get a merchant account from another company? I was looking at CCNow for this, but their service looks pretty expensive (I like the idea of being able to accept PayPal payments).

Lastly, if I was reading Authorize.net correctly, there is a setup fee of $149?

You get a merchant account through other people who then add on authorize.net, setup fee is lower or else free.
