SteveO, that sounds like a good idea. Although Ebay prefers you use flash cookies, I know others dont as well and it works for them. I might have to try this out. :D

With each Ebay account you are using, is it safe to just use 1 IP address per account? Or do/should you switch IP addresses EVERY time before logging into any ebay accounts making sure you havent used it before?

Hi there,
Why do you have to "switch out routers on my high speed net to change the ip for each because I hate dial up."

If you have three seperate user accounts, do you still have to do this?

Kind regards,
James

You still have to change your ip, even if you use separate user accounts.

Aspkin is referring to tethering his iPhone. You must have a jailbroken iPhone to do it. I do the same thing with my G1 (google phone). The link above is a thread here on jailbroken phones. Check it out for more details.
SevnSins, you don't have to jailbreak your iphone to tether. I am tethering now on my 3G S iphone. Just an FYI.

When the iPhone was first released, you did have to do some extra steps to tether, but several things have changed since then.

I never had to do anything extra to tether with my phone. Just installed the software on my phone, and the driver on my laptop, and done.

I don't use this method too much anymore, since reading Vic's router tutorials.

If you haven't read them, you might want to check them out. Explains how to get new IP on broadband connections.

It's a good read, trust me.

Here's how I do it, I use 11 user accounts, with the administrator being my main personel acc., of coarse which I do all my web surfing on and use comcast cable broadband.

Each aditional acc. I use my ebay id as the windows user id, so no need for wallpaper, and my blackberry as dialup which works just like the iphone, and a notepad for each acc. details.

Within each user account I use firefox w/ home page set to IPBurger.com ,the same stealth info for e-mail, ebay, paypal, amazon, and the same giftcard and prepaid phone.

Each time I wanna switch acc's I just plugin my blackberry via usb, log off and in to new user named after ebay id, sign in to my verizon network, open firefox and check ip and all is good.

The only thing I'm missing is the macspoof download I haven't took the time to install yet.

I guess you missed the part about me using mobile broadband to lol. I use cable for administrator and mobile broadband (blackberry) for the other 10 users.
Great setup!

yep I use the same setup, multiple windows login name as my eBay id, notepad to store info in one txt file. Only thing I do diff to save time, I do not use IPBurger or ipchicken or anything really to check my IP cuz as long as you have an ISP that gives out a dynamic IP every time you reset the connection you are safe. The chance of landing on a previous used IP are slim to none, pretty much like winning the lotto. Its not gonna happen, and if it does happen, I would bet that eBay wont ban you for linking just your IP once.

Take for example, I might reset my connection and get an IP that one of my neighbors had used about a week ago to log into their eBay account. eBay wont ban you just for linking IPs once or twice, trust. Plus I have no idea how you guys find the time to keeps track of each IP you use and check to see if you have used it in the past.

Just curious, out of the people that do keep track of their used IPs, have any of you noticed an IP match with a previously used IP over a one month time frame?

Great tips, also don't forget you can use SMAC as if you were doing Amazon to change ur IP.
