Default PayPal appeal denied

Got this today. It's very vague and I'm not sure if they closed the account, or they are just keeping it limited. The odd thing is, I can still complete the last step in the resolution center to apply for an appeal?

Dear XXXXXX,

Since you are unable to complete the appeals process, access to your PayPal
account will remain limited. Your PayPal Debit Card application has been
denied as we were not able to confirm your identity using the information
you provided.

In accordance with our User Agreement, any funds in your PayPal account
balance may be held up to 180 days from the date the limitation was placed
on your account. The balance is held to cover any disputes that may be
filed against the account. If any funds remain after the 180 day period,
you will be notified via email with information on how to receive the
remaining funds.

Sincerely,
Kimberly

OP,

I assume you tried to get the debit card using a stealth account?
If that were the case, most likely it'd be denied. THere's a thread in the forum somewhere about this that happened to other members recently.

PP would do a check on your identity when you apply for the debit card.
THey won't just send it out even if your acc is established.

At this point, it'd be better for you to move on and try not to spend too much energy on this. Good luck

It wasn't a stealth account. They asked for a photo ID or driver's license. And a copy of the SS card. I gave them the card, but I couldn't provide the ID, as I have none.

Anyway, I tried to list stuff on ebay, and refereed people to google search "paypal sucks"

And how is that going to help your cause? If its a real account you could try and fix it. Throwing a tantrum does what in your benefit?

Calm down and use your head. Play smart, not childish...

eBay requires about 84% +/- of your payments go through paypal =( Sadly. (Other people can correct if I am wrong).

If they have your real info, best to keep fighting a bit and go stealth otherwise.

Default ???

-Why don't you have an ID? You're under 18?

-If this is real info on your PP account, you should be able to get the account restored. Unless you did something real shady. Go apply for a state ID or get a passport.

-If you really don't want to take PP directly you can just sign up for another payment method like ProPay or Paymate even Moneybookers but you may not get as many sales. People love PP unfortunately.

-Don't say you hate PP or it sucks in your listings. Just say you do not accept PP payments because of "their fees" or for "security purposes". I don't know for sure what to say instead.

-If all else fails, go stealth. You should have backup stealth accounts anyway just for when your main account goes down.

You can't use 'deadbeat bidders' either in your listings.

That's right...I had a red screen pop up because the tern "deadbeat bidder" might be offensive to some....ahem, like the deadbeat bidders.

I don't think too many people who don't molest children find the term Child Molester offensive

DOH! Teh bots pick that up. It's against the wonderful fair policy that ebay has.
So if you annoy ebay, then paypal hate you too.
How can the account be real and have no ID?

Heh, they sent the same exact thing after I sent them a message to not reply with a carbon copy email.

Idiots.

I sent them this reply, let's see what happens.

OMG! paypal will hate that. It might make you feel good. . You have damaged any chance of getting help from them. You are stepping into a grey area with them and here with your comments.
Please be careful

Idc. Paypal can GTH for all I care. Ebay is bound to allow GCO, and paymate is fine for the meantime.

Also, it seems that you can change what ebay account is linked to your paymate now. The text box is editable.
