Hi all -

I came upon this forum to research my options as a result of an ebay listing removal. Thanks for all the info I've learned so far!

But I continue to be puzzled by all the references to Paypal limits.

This doesn't really pertain to me (yet - I suppose), but I am very curious about the issue.

Q: What are the main reasons that a paypal account gets limited? If there a few top reasons, I'd love a simple summary list. I can do the research to fill in the details.

(BTW, I have spent a bit of time here trying to answer this to no avail - if there is as primer I have missed, please point me to it).

On the Upper Left hand side of Every page is a Search Bar,,,Type in Paypal Limit and Let er Rip,,,

theres a lot of reasons why

how old the account is
receiving too much money
if you get a lot of disputes/claims
receiving money too quickly
how you withdraw the money
how much you withdraw at a time
how many times you withdraw per week/month/whatever
if your account has gone through any limitations before
where you live
what your selling
the standing of your ebay account
vero
f-akes
transferring money to another account that is owned by you and getting caught
your ip address
the information you use to sign up if it's linked to a banned account

there is alot more I dont know if theres any top reasons they are all pretty close together and they r all bad

If your looking for a real simple answer to a complex question ..

The easiest and most common ways to get your paypal limited are probably :
1:Sudden increase in sales , or high sales volume in a new account.
2:Linked to another suspended account via IP address or cookies
3:Conflicting information on your ebay account and paypal account.
4: Too many unpaid item disputes or refunds

There are probably hundreds of other reasons your account can be limited..
But I would say these are the most common.

OH .. add to that list ..

Paying a chinese supplier using the same paypal that recieves payments for ebay items.
If your buying cheap chinese products , pay using a different paypal account and not the one attached to your ebay!

yeah its a lot to list but you can surely find a wealth of knowledge on each of the things I mentioned. Theres alot of posts on and damn that last one jesse mentioned is very important as well!
