This kinda reminds me of that infamous "Y2K" bug where everyone was preparing for the end of the world, computers would fail, sky was going to fall, etc.

When Y2K finally DID come, it went over like a lead baloon. Not much, if anything DID happen.

Today is April 19th, the day of the so-called "PayPal ToS Update".

Has anyone thought that the wording the TOS is designed to explain 180 day limitations more clearly now, now they have an excuse to backup their ridiculous and unfair holding of money.

If we have not verified your identifying information, a balance in your PayPal account can generally only be held in your PayPal account and transferred to a linked bank account or debit card.

Sounds like how they operate limitations due to identity or risk issues with accounts. If you fully verify then itll be lifted. Aka a limitation

1. Unverified paypal meaning no bank,ein, etc.. just a cc on file, with a balance from received ebay payments

I will admit, i use paypals without banks, because i don't want to waste a good bank account on a newer ebay account i am not sure will last or not. Once it's seeded and well set, then i will add a bank. But if i sell less than 1k a month, i just move that money around or have suppliers invoice it. With that being said, i have maybe 2-3 without a bank attached out of 15

I usually wait a month as well. Dont want to waste a good bank

If Moscutter was able to do that, then I would think we can still pay eBay fees and pay for eBay shipping labels w a PP (that doesn't have an EIN attached) using the PP balance.

Can anyone confirm this?

I hope you're right Moscutter, but I think it's more likely the update just hasn't been applied to your account yet. Never in the history of Paypal has a new feature or update been rolled out to all accounts at the same time. New registrations started feeling the effects first, and I'm guessing older accounts will be impacted later.

We shall see.
